Default Will Any of the Newest Mutants Make it to the Big Leagues?

We all know that the X-Men have had several generations of students within the past decade alone, and that most of them have faded into the background to make way for the next teen book's cast. Kyle/Yost's New X-Men, Gillen's Generation Hope, and even some of Morrison's favorites (Beak, Angel Salvadore, Ernst) have, for the most part, been relegated to wallpaper.

There have been some notable exceptions, though, who are managing to claw their way to the surface in the vein of Jubilee and Kitty Pryde.

Pixie's the most recent example, but she's been preceded by people like Armor.

Now that we've got a brand new crop of mutants popping up in All-New X-Men and Wolverine and the X-Men, which ones can we expect to stick around? Who will be sent to the background, and who will eventually become major powerhouses/recurring sidekicks on the main teams?

Where is the "none of them" option?

There is a feeling that Evan's story and his destiny will have a big impact not only to the X-World but for the MU universe as well. Of course this is only a speculation so will see what happens

I doubt it, none of them stays for too long anyway. I'm still surprised Illyana has not been sent back to Limbo with the other New Mutants and when X-men ends, Pixie will probably go back to school just like Armor. If you're not introduced in Uncanny, you're doomed.

I voted for Idie because she's the only one who doesn't suck (under Gillen anyway).

I have faith in Not-Prodigy. Good things to come.

I'll admit, I have a soft spot for Broo. He's just such a cute little guy who likes science...and can eat your face off. Adorable!

I don't think Eye Boy has much of a future, but Glob Herman still exists ten years down the line so who can say? (Can't believe they kept Glob rather than the infinitely better Tattoo).

    I'm guessing 'none of them'.

This. I don't see any of them making an impact. Evan barely counts, he's riding Apocalypses popularity and my guess is that Apocalypse will eventually :

    a) Kill him
    b) Assimilate him (or vice versa)

Or he'll just go crazy on his own and get put down by Saint Logan.

Being Apocalypse ensures Genesis' future well enough. Everyone else is replaceable.

    None.

They look fradulent, all make me thankful for M-Day.

Pixie's already a-list, but I really feel bad for fans of the 5 Lights. Supplanted by subpar Hanna Barbera characters.

Is very unlikely that Logan could just put down Evan if turns to the dark side. Not only because Evan is too powerful, but also because Logan is emotionaly invested in the boy. In UXF it was pretty clear that he didn't want to do it. He said that is a good kid. He believes in him. If things take the wrong turn and we have a possible future confrontation between teacher and student then is more plausible that Logan will have the same end with Professor X.

Genesis, Jia Jing, and Broo are the ones I'm rooting for. Because I'm a big believer in redemption and Jia Jing is a really creative take on flying bricks, which the X-Men need right now.

After having just finished WatX #19, I have no faith in either Jia Jing or Eyeboy.

I hope Eyeboy loses all of his contact lenses.
