I sorta miss the lightning bolt, but the overall design of the new one is better. It's a lot less overtly sexy, which is nice to see. It makes her look a lot more bad-ass, like someone who should be taken seriously. It actually also has a more militaristic feel, which works for the character on multiple levels.

I agree with this completely. Like others have said, too many @$$ shots of the last costume and its thong, too much cheese factor going on to really take Carol seriously at times. if you want cheesecake, read Grimm Fairy Tales or something. I think the new costume makes her strong, confident. The helmet is silly, and the hair, well, so many artists already have shown it short, real short, longer... what is it? At least in the black costume we knew what it would look like.

Also, if we hope that Carol shows up AS Capt. Marvel in a future movie, THIS new costume makes a lot more sense. Like what they're doing with Gamora in GotG, you can't have a woman dressed like the black costume in a PG "made for everyone" movie and have it taken seriously, and not some teenager T&A flick. So on many levels, I think the new costume works great.

The new uniform has grown on me. My only gripes are that they can't seem to keep the hair consistent and that awful red helmet-thing she rocks. Give her a domino mask and be done with it. I think this should be it for the long haul.

I adore all of her outfits (I even have one X3), but her current one is by far the best.
