Carol Danvers: Captain Marvel suit or Black suit?

I like a lot of his male character designs, but it's hard to deny that for women he started with a swimsuit / bikini and didn't go very far from there.

True, but that's also true for a lot of female characters. Scarlet Witch's costume is a 1 piece over pink leggings/body suit and a cape. Rogue's "iconic" costume is little more than a outfit surfers wear, and so on.

Because most people who make such judgements are guys and Cockrum put women in swimsuits or otherwise showed a lot of flesh?

I have to admit, I'm in love with almost every female costume Cockrum ever designed (except Binary which is just...OK, and Kitty's first self-made costume, which was SUPPOSED to be horrible).

I never had a problem with the swimsuit costume but if they are really going to have her appear in live-action and other media then the current outfit is far superior to the others imo. The black outfit would just look awkward in real life. A one-piece swimsuit with thigh-high boots? Nice to look at but odd to see someone attempt to fight in it.

Although the warm-blood hetero guy in me yearns for her original Ms. Marvel suit with the bare midriff, I prefer her current one.

The lightning bolt suit always makes me think: Nazi.

WOW Bro, This is a Really Hard Question for Me, no Joke! It is like choosing between 3 Beyond Perfect Diamonds, Carol looks Great in all 3 costumes. Her NEW One was Great when I first saw it and it has gotten Better and Better as time has gone on. I shows how Far Carol has come as a Hero. She is indeed on the way or is already one of Marvels A-Lister Heroes (Especially Since she has her own book Again!).

Since I have to Choose, I would say, by a hair it is:

Her Black Costume! I say this because when I first became a Ms. Marvel Fan years ago it was this costume she was Sporting and was part of me becoming a BIG FAN of Carol Danvers aka Ms. Marvel!!!

I've gotten used to the new one, though if I could make an adjustment, I'd add a navy blue domino mask and remove the buttons from the gloves and boots.

I've warmed up to the current Captain Marvel costume so much that I like it most out of all of them.

I still really like her Cockrum designed one though and the EMH amalgam is probably the best iteration of that outfit.

Carol's Captain Marvel suit is a magnificently beautiful design that combines military and superhero aesthetics quite well.

I preferred the black suit. The new one sometimes looks good, sometimes is boring, depending on who draws it. (It doesn't help that the new series itself is pretty dull)

My favorite Ms. Marvel costume though was Moonstone's version, as a member of the Dark Avengers.
