Default Who is telling the truth and who is lying?

Apparently we've got a contradiction between writer and editor on just who decided to make Stephanie Brown Robin for 3 issues.

We all know and many of us hate Didio's "I thought no one would care if she died so I decided to make her Robin to make people care, and look how well it worked!" shpiel. http://www.newsarama.com/common/medi....php?aid=47794

But apparently Bill Willangham says it was his idea, since her death was decided on before, he says he wanted to give her "one moment of glory, accomplishment, and success." http://www.comicbookresources.com/?p...&old=1&id=6352

So who's version is the real one? I'd have to go with Willingham. He gave his version 7 years earlier and didn't do it in a way that was him trying to take credit for the decision. If that's the case then there the most likely scenario is that Didio has what we call 'selective memory.'

Didio probably meant he approved the proposal.

This, probably. Willingham proposed it, Didio approved it. No one is lying.
