This book has many obscure characters in it, so it needs a very dynamic in style artist to keep it afloat. Garney is just too generic in style to keep it afloat.

I am ok with Garney on art. He's good, solid and dependable...something not that common these days. One of the things this book should be though is sexy. As much as I hate to say it...this should be Clay Mann or Olivier Coipel's book.

Agreed. They should pull Mann from Gambit and stick Garney over there; wouldn't be as bad of a fit imho...

That being said, Neal Shaara, Thunderbird needs to join the cast.

I normally love Garney but I do question the choice for this book. Unless Humphries takes a very different tone than Remender I think this kind of book needs a much darker, grittier artist. As much as Remender and Opena are a great team, I'd actually switch Garney in on Avengers and bring Opena back to X-Force. I'm not sure Opena has the right style for the Avengers (Secret yes, but not the primary team), but Garney has the great clean style for a book like that.
