Most of my family, friends have seen and they are not Bond fans either, they enjoyed and could see it was better than the last one. Only negative comments i heard from people i know are my cousin who thought there was not enough exciting action scenes. While i agreed with him somewhat that Mendes is no action, thriller director. I told him i enjoyed still because unlike QOS who had alot of action scenes it doesnt make it better story, film as Bond.

Don't want to spoil the fun, so I'll just post this here and say, I really enjoyed it. And would spend many moneys on it.
I'm sure you guys heard that in the new movie, Bond is no longer drinking martinis. He's drinking Heineken.

Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!
Thats is terrible old news, it was in last film that happened i think. In Casino Royal there were also scene where he didnt care how his martini was.
There was in the new Bond, that bar scene in Macua where we were shown the chinese bartender shaking a drink for him and him saying thats how he like it.

In the books bond wasn't really a vodka martini only guy. He had ALOT of different drinks.
I think that's why my mate liked it, it's not an out and out action film like the last one tried to be (and failed because you didn't have a bloody clue who was doing what to who) but she loved the train sequence and the chase scene through London and into the Underground. Though we both thought the baddies motivation was a bit weak, it didn't detract from what's still essentially a fun film, but it needed to be a bit more than 'murhahahahaha, I'm going to try to kill M'.
That Adele song can fuck off though.
I think there is an eternal argument about the portrayal of Bond (for me Craig's is closest to the novels, which I appreciate a hell of a lot more than any of the others).
I think because of that I've heard a lot of hate about Skyfall - but I absolutely loved it. I can't compare it to Casino Royale - they're both such different films for me!
I just love that there was time for Bond to don a tux and then get clever in the last act. I like a hands-on Bond, and Craig portrays that perfectly.
I also like that it gave a firm origin to the characters. Bardem was an excellent bad guy - I like that it was personally motivated rather than 'I want to take over the world' nonsense.
I feel Quantum has been sufficiently wiped from my mind and I'm looking forward to the next film.
Also, Moneypenny = awesome. I'm glad she also got an origin of some sort.
I didn't feel like I wasted my money but I have little to no inclination to want to see this ever again.
Technically the movie looked great, and the interaction between M\Bond\Q was entertaining but at the end it just felt rather pointless.
I was expecting great things from Bardem but he just seemed camp and silly. I couldn't see much influence from TDK. Nolan's Batman movies were action epics with glittering performances and with something to say, this was a string of set-pieces intercut with banter, one-liners and the odd shag.
I liked Dredd better than this and even Die Hard 4 did the whole cyber-terrorist thing a lot better.
