I like to read a bit about the big guns interacting with not so big ones, that's mostly why I've always prefered team titles, but, ever since a child, I guess I've always been more atracted to the B-C listers then to the A-Listers. I've always prefered reading about the Flash, Green Lantern, Captain Comet (loved SSoSV) and Hawkman to read about Supes, Bats or WW. Wonder Man, Yellowjacket and Hercules over Thor Cap and Iron Man. Cyclops over Wolverine.
Mostly because, even as a child, I always figuered that there was much more that you could do with them.

    Peace

Excellent point. Even as a kid, while I loved Thor and Cap, I was still drawn to the 'lesser' guys like Black Knight, Hercules, Wasp, Hank Pym, etc... You're right, there are more stories to tell, more to 'do' with them, as if they have a loftier goal to reach (i.e. to become the level of hero that Thor and Cap are, as an example).

I think another reason why some of us might prefer B-listers to A-listers is over exposure. We get TOO MUCH of the A-listers. And when Cap and IM and Thor are in everything, doing everything, the amount of story ideas left to use for those guys is very small, and therefore anything that happens instory feels like a rehash of something else, most likely because it is, even if it's accidental, just due to the nature of the characters' longevity and over-exposure. How many issues of any comic has Thor been in vs. Hercules? It's probably like 5-to-1 or much greater, maybe 10-to-1, so anything you do with Herc could feel somewhat 'fresh' and new, while anything you do with Thor is a rehash or feels like you're just grasping at straws.

I think that answers the question.
Black Panther SHOULD be "A List".

To answer your question I like lots of the big name characters but all things equal I prefer to read Iron Fist, Scarlet Spider, Bucky-Cap, Black Panther, Shang Chi, Valkyrie, DD, Black Widow, Red Hulk (Jeff Parker), Thunderbolts, etc...looking forward to checking out the Morbius book as well!
