Is A+X an ongoing or a mini?

Because it seems limited and tied to a past event. Those things usually mean short life and thus mini. I only discovered it was ongoing today. It was quite surprising. I'd assumed it was a mini of 5 or so issues.

It's more of a "This is the new status quo" type of thing. It may be spinning out of a past event, but so did New Avengers.

That said, "short life" is always a possibility (especially considering A+X is an anthology series). "Short life" doesn't necessarily mean mini. Look at SWORD.

Conversely, I'm still puzzled as to why Avengers Arena is an ongoing.

I don't think it'sgoing to play out as the "death, death, death" thing that people are expecting.

After the first arc, I'm assuming we're going to get a new team of teen heroes, but without any official ties to a supervising body.
