I think that both Marvel and DC won during last year. New 52 definitely was the best thing that happened to DC over the last decade, and Marvel is making interesting experiment with their Now initiative. I picked up Iron Man first time in my life, and I'm going to pick up FF too. My only complaint would be that there are way too many good comic books for my wallet.

That's the way it goes. Once a writer becomes big, some folk decide to focus on his bad work and completely forget the good stuff he's done.

It happened to Bendis (and Geoff Johns to a lesser extent), it's starting with Fraction and Remender and I'm pretty sure Gillen is next.
Isn't Gillen big already? He was writing the best selling marvel ongoing, plus he got to finish AvX with Consequences.
Also, people have been hating Fraction for years now, that's nothing new.

The 5th week might have affected sales slightly but it probably increased DCs dollar share as the released some high profile annuals like Action comics annual, Swamp Thing annual, Batgirl annual and Justice League Dark annual. These cost about $5 each.

It's a common fallacy a lot of posters fall into.
That's actually not what Strawman is. A Strawman argument is when you make up a position that no one is actually taking or misrepresent an opponent's position and use it to favorably contrast your position.

You're thinking of "poisoning the well".

Thank you. I was just about to post this, though I didn't know it was called poisoning the well. You learn something new everyday.
Support titles that need supporting. Quit buying, reading and complaining about comics you don't enjoy.
