Well, he left in a flash of lightning. And both Webb and Ifans denied that it was Osborn. They said that it was an Osborn employee, and someone who could easily get into a maximum security prison without being detected.

Eh, it seemed more like lightning for setting the mood than as a power to me. I mean, he doesn't leave in a bolt of lightning or anything he just fades into the darkness after the lightning strikes.

Webb said the fact that he entered the room while it was locked up was supposed to be a key to his identity. So I guess I always assumed it was just Mysterio or the Spot.

Mysterio definitely seems to be a better canidate than electro for that guy's identity.

Dude. I highly doubt they're using the Spot as their premiere villain.

One thing that confuses me (as a black guy) is that this principle isn't applied more fairly. Wasn't there an entire campaign to prevent Akira from being remade as a white movie?

Historically Akira was one of the first Japanese animated films that featured characters that actually looked Japanese when most of the Japanese mainstream animation up until then was an aping of Disney and euro-centric looking characters. The story is set in Japan with a Japanese cultural influence in its look, in the characters actions/beliefs, and the design/structure of the city and society(not to mention the Hiroshima theme/implications). To abandon that for white actors and an American setting would go against what made Akira as outstanding as it is. How you see a Otomo's story remaining Japanese as somehow comparable to Foxx playing Electro (a minor and forgettable character) is beyond my comprehension.

Having one villain in a movie is enough, maybe have Norman be in the background of things.
The problem with Spider-Man 3 was horrendous writing. The Nolan Batman movies all got along perfectly fine with 2 villains each.

My question with all of the years of reading scripts and experience in making movies these executives can't tell when a movie is written poorly?

Since when can Electro teleport? Or even leave in the shadows without shooting lightning everywhere? He's not exactly a stealthy guy. Don't think that was him.

Have you seen how many badly written movies make tons of money?
Good writing isn't always a recipe to success.

Sorry Mr. Webb you don't have my vote of confidence after Amazing.
