I'll be totally pissed if they kill off Hazmat. The Avengers Academy kids were a really fun group of kids to read about. I really can't believe with Avengers: Everything the hell else, they couldn't keep this title going. It was the one constant must read for me and I was way bummed when it came to an end.
It really amazes me that with a publisher like Marvel, who seems to have such trouble establishing GOOD new characters, that they would set up this deathmatch fiasco and kill them off. I want my Avengers Academy back istead of this nonsense.
I really don't get it. Do they think that killing off these characters dramatically will make people stick around? I bet you anything this becomes an X-23, Cammi, and Darkhawk show cause "they're the characters who kill a lot and are 'cooler'". It really pains me. Especially since Hazmat was one of the best kids to come out of Academy.
You guys need to stop shoving Avengers Arena into EVERY THREAD ON THE BOARD.

Hated Alpha. But we were meant to hate him. The writer alone makes me want to get this series. I gambled on I Vampire for the wife... and I'M loving it. Just like YA with Gillen, Ill give it a shot if only to sell one more copy supporting Fialkov. He's just great.
My blog for you folks who can read. http://mrroussis.wordpress.com/
Well, at least you finally admitted it.
Firstly, it's "your," not "you're," mister editor.
Instead of throwing away money on producing crap like this, may I instead suggest investing in a dictionary? Since you clearly don't understand what a straw man is, even though you've used one approximately 5,784 times on this forum alone (hint: see quote above).
That 20x6 guy isn't even trying anymore.

Since we're talking about what to do with teenage characters, I can understand it would be brought up here. The thing is, we had an entire series to grow attached to Hazmat and the others, while Alpha had a three-issue storyline, and there's Sam Alexander. I always figured they were going to revisit Alpha at some point, but the fact that they would do it this soon came as a surprise.
Or, to offer a different suggestion for how to kill of Alpha, how about one more Carnage mini? Venom had plenty (If not way too many to the point that they might as well have just considered one ongoing), so I can see Carnage somehow getting another one once Minimum Carnage is over.
"Carnage vs. Alpha" by Joshua Hale Fialkov and Clayton Crain. MAKE IT HAPPEN. Alpha can even survive the story for all I care, I just want to see a collaboration between Fialkov and Crain that isn't just the covers for I, Vampire.
His original story implied that he had some of his powers left, and considering how one of the points made was that his powers would get stronger over time, it's likely that carried over here and his powers just increased back to the point they were when he first got his powers.
