This is after years of portraying the United States President of America as WHITE for hundreds if not thousands of years. Now all of a sudden he's only half-white. The PC business (I'm going off on the obsolesce of the Personal Computer tangent now) makes me want to take two tablets and call Karl Rove to laugh in the morning..
Well since the US (and therefore the office of President of the United States) has been around for less than 500 years...

Blade went from black to caucasian in the 90's animated series. Catwoman got recast as a black woman in the adam west version of Batman. The character Red from Shawshank Redemption is actually a white guy in the novel version. So anyone who believes Millar started the whole thing is giving him way too much credit.
I never knew about these two... awesome!

Wait, over the past four years, the president of the United States has been non-white. How big a jump would he have to make?

See, even history is being retconned because of the infernal sliding timeline.

I always thought "ray" was a better daredevil movie than daredevil....I mean a dude who can hear hummingbirds outside through a crowded restaurant, touch girls' wrists and tell if they are pretty, and can map out his surroundings with out the use of a cane? How is that not superhuman....

Newsarama's got an article about Jamie Foxx discussing his Electro role: http://www.newsarama.com/film/jamie-...an-sequel.html

Some interesting stuff in there. We're definitely going to be introduced to Dillon before the accident that makes him Electro and Foxx seems to indicate that Electro's going to be helping Spiderman with something, or maybe acting as an informant for him when the accident transforms him.

Also, his costume's going to be black. Nobody was really expecting the green and yellow suit right? LOL.
My favorite character can beat up your favorite character.

as much as i like the idea of Jamie Foxx as Electro, i'm going to hate how they try to change Electro in the books; to match this. it's the likely cause of Curt Connor's mind being back in the Lizard's body.

It's not surprising at all to hear they're trying to find a new design for him. I thought something like his suit in Spectacular Spider-Man might work on film.

I really was hoping they were going to go with a variant of the green and yellow costume, I think deep down I knew they wouldn't but I was still hoping. I would have loved to see green coveralls with light tan/yellowish leather work gloves and boots. I would also have loved if there was an Electro Co. logo on the back or front pocket, but I knew that would never happen. As far as the mask goes, I hope they go with facial scars (I saw a pic of this on his wiki page, don't know when it was used in the comics) that change through the movie into actual bolts electrcity.

This costume idea would only work if the studios go with the electrical worker origin though, which is what I am most concerned about. Does anybody else get the feeling that he's going to be a Oscorp employee? Hopefully a maintenance worker at least.

Foxx said in an interview that Dillon worked for a company that stole all his ideas. They didn't specificy Oscorp but that's what I assumed. That origin aspect actually sounds like it comes from the Ultimate version of the Shocker.

I thought he was German as a kid as the character reminded me of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
