This would suck for me as Jamie Foxx is one of my least favourite actors, enough to stop me from watching even a Spidey film. Oh well.

We have possibilities for the role of Harry Osborn in TASM2-

The casting wants to lookout for actors who are "dark and edgy". That sounds like they may be doing the "Harry on drugs" plot line. Of the three guys mentioned there, I hope they pick the dude from Chronicle. He was incredible in that movie.
Chronicle kid is a good actor even though I'm not the biggest fan of the flick I think he did a bang-up job. He's also in Lincoln for, like, 3 minutes and I'm gonna guess that Chronicle was his audition tape. Be cool to see Harry as the not-chick-magnet, sometimes I think he's more of a dweeb than Peter.
Sony's credit rating cut to "junk"
Expect another reboot in the near future as Disney reacquires the Spider-Man rights.
He is always portrayed as more of an insecure dweeb than Peter. Hence someone like the Chronicle dude or Jesse Eisenberg is fit for him. But apparently now they are looking at some "pretty boy hopefuls" as well - http://spinoff.comicbookresources.co...y-osborn-role/
So no idea where they are going with this.
Sony Pictures is a completely separate division from their electronics producing counterparts. And both divisions have made profits in their last quarters, especially Sony Pictures thanks to TASM and Skyfall. They are not going to let go of Spidey unless they are circling the drain.
Another reboot after the Garfield trilogy is a given however.
Jessie Eisenberg as Harry Osborn would rule on so many, many levels. Not only being a Social Network / Zombieland, which Eisenberg worked great with both Garfield & Stone, but I wanna see Eisenberg eventually snap in a super-powered way. Dweeb Harry would be a nicely different twist from James Franco's Harry. Not that I hated Franco's take, I actually think Harry is probably the best developed character in the whole Raimi series, but something different from before would be a hoot.
Woodley looks like a good MJ! She seems to have attitude, and that's a huge part of MJ.
So I recently read the 'Spider-Men' miniseries-the crossover between 616 Spider-Man and the current Ultimate Spider-man (Miles Morales)...and it got me thinking that it would be a great idea, somewhere down the line, to do a similar crossover between the Raimi/Maguire Spider-Man (arguably the 'classic' film Spidey) and the Webb/Garfield 'Amazing' Spider-Man (arguably the 'Ultimate' film Spidey).
Maybe a couple of films down the line, when Garfield is well-established in the role, they could do a crossover between the two universes. TASM Spider-man is the protagonist, who ends up in the universe of the Raimi films where he meets up with a significantly older Peter Parker (played by Tobey Maguire of course), who's been Spidey for a LONG time, is a veteran superhero, and is (likely married to Mary Jane). He will have to deal with meeting what COULD be a portrait of what he'll be like a decade or two down the line and seeing how things turned out for him. Plus (given that Gwen in his reality will almost certainly be dead by that point), it will be interesting for him to meet an older Gwen (played by Bryce Dallas Howard preferably) who's not only very much alive, but not even remotely involved with Peter romantically.
This would also be a great way for Sony to give a tip off the hat to the original series...and this kind of parallel universe crossover, so common to comics, has never been done on screen before!
There isn't much of a point to a Garfield/ Maguire crossover.
If they killed off Garfield in Amazing Spider-Man 3, then you could have Maguire teaming up with Miles Morales for the twentieth anniversary of the first Spider-Man in a more straightforward Spider-Men adaptation.
Although I think they'd rather see more films with the current Peter Parker as Spider-Man.
I tend to think that alternate versions of Peter would at the very least have a passing resemblance to one another. They probably should be indentical seeing they are the same person.
Since Tobey and Andrew look absolutely nothing alike, I wouldn't even want to see this and would never buy into the fact that they are supposed to be alternate versions of one another.
Sounds boring, to be honest.
