Bunn, Sliney Prove Themselves "Fearless" for Marvel NOW!

Should this book be what most of us are speculating, the roster without a doubt is my biggest concern. Let's face it, no matter how much we wish it was different, retailer confidence in female fronted books (especially at the margins Marvel and DC want to sell them) is not at the level we wish it was and while you do have a couple of winners in Wonder Woman and Batgirl, Captain Marvel just missed having 25,000 orders in September, meaning that the book needs to get to a stable number sooner than later. With that data in mind, I can EASILY see Marvel putting as many of their most high profile girls on this team as possible, no matter how little sense it makes story wise. So to hedge my bets, I'm going to reveal the Roster I want to see, and the Roster we're probably going to see.

Actually, the majority of female-led titles by DC are selling consistently solid numbers. Some of them are even pretty big hits. I am not sure that retailers are less confident with DC's female-led titles.

I would like to see Captain Marvel do better.

Interesting lists! Valkyrie is likely an obvious choice. Hopefully this book can do some good business.

Just saw this thread and S/D's all over the place hopeful for S/D be in it; She-Hulk fans debating between Jen and Lyra (who is a fair possibility to me as Bunn team-up Lyra and Loa in FI: The Deep). If there's a She-Hulk I'm in!

Sure, but most of them have decades-old built-in fanbases. Few Marvel ladies are know from their solo outings or appearances in other media.

Out of curiosity, have you regularly read any all mutant books? Or perhaps all teen books? All villains in disguise, or looking for redemption?

Bunn commented on his and co-writer Matt Fraction's open-ended finale, saying, "I’m working on something that picks up on one of the big hooks from the end of the story. Suffice it to say, the DOA is still at large and they are gonna be very busy."

That tells me Sin and Crossbones are still in the wind and they have been busy.
