Ugh people viewing their opinions as statistic facts instead of common sense. C'mon Plawsky and Wolverine, this is a horrible horrible subject you've entered.

    Without reading this whole thread:

They shouldnt bring Peter back, because he is dead and everyone is usually complaining about resurrections. Bendis risked something with Miles and it worked out great. So, bringing Peter back is a step back in the usual direction, no progress.

Actually, if we only look at the numbers, it didn't work out great, as there has been a 33% decrease in USM comics in one year.

That's not enough evidence to support that claim. The same thing could also have happened if Peter was still alive.

I guess, but what we do know is that those are the numbers. Of course we don't know what it would be like with peter.

You haven't posted a single statistic. You're saying "you get more for your money at DC." You get more WHAT?

You get more pages. And that's absolutely true. There is absolutely a price-per-page benefit at DC. But that's not what matters to me. Sure, I would love for my books to have more pages. No one is arguing that. However, I would take 20 pages I really enjoy to 24 pages I don't care for.

I also don't mind paying the same price for a 90 minute movie as I do for a three hour movie.

If page count is the only statistic you want to talk about then sure, you win I guess. But that's hardly what this debate is about. You brought up SALES, and yet I've never seen you post any numbers for sales. You've now twice dodged Wolverine12's question about numbers.

The closest you've offered to a response is this:

If their biggest competition sells more comics, but does it with lower prices & less double ships.
"The fact that you're asking means you don't know." That's basically what you're saying. And it means nothing. Obviously, if he's asking, it's because he doesn't know. If you want to show numbers to back up your argument, then please do. Otherwise, you're either showing that you don't have any evidence or you're just trolling. And you're making claims like "Marvel comics keep going less and less" and "their biggest competition sells more comics" both of which are OBJECTIVELY false when you look at this month's numbers.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!

I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others

I want Peter Parker back. That's a statistical fact. I know because I just polled myself.

I'd have liked it if Peter hadn't died, and then taken the 'Ultimate Spider-man' TV show route in comics.

    But no resurrection please.

the ultimate u has no purpose if it is an exact carbon copy of the 616. this was the case before Ultimatum and the Ultimate Spider death. mind you, Ultimatum was still one of the worst comics ever.

I don't think the UU was a carbon copy of the 616 Universe before ultimatum. But if it becomes SO different, what's to keep it from not being an alternate universe and merging with the 616?

UU was an updated and frankly better version of the 616.

I've enjoyed USM since Peter died. I wasn't really reading it before, stopped back around, hmm...issue #60? Shame that there's been a decrease in readers but it's been an enjoyable read for me at least.

Didnt feel a thing personally. To me it was cheesy, nonsensical, and cliched.

For me, USM ended with the third annual when he and MJ have that talk. Nothing past Ultimatium ever made sense to me, so I don't count any of it as canon. That's just me though, if you enjoyed it, the more power to you.

I actually like Miles stint as Spidey, and really enjoy his stories, but Ultimate Peter's tale was far from done. Being cut down in the prime of life without getting to experiance adult years or becoming a father and creating a legacy with MJ is NOT what I would call a "complete story".

I wouldnt worry about that. Comic fans are sheep. If Bendis wanted Peter back tommorow, they'd be jumping around salivating at the very thought of it

Honestly, I gotta agree that I just couldn't feel the story the way everyone else did because way too many elements just felt contrived in it as if the universe itself wanted him dead topped with the variants for the story arc. It felt more like they were shoving down our throats that they were gonna do it and not kidding. It made it all seem less genuine and more forced.
Holding out for a Peter/Miles team up.
