What should Disney buy next?

I guess if you want to go the Transfromers route and just market the car sure. You better get a good writer than to make sure the movie van stand on its own and sin't a shameful remake.

At the time Back To THe Future was released, the car was a huge part of the movie. It was basically a co star. It would be the same this time around. As far as I'm concerned it's a "car movie" like The Wraith and Mad Max. As far as how good the remake would be, it doesn't matter. How many tickets it would sell is all the studios care about. That and the fat product placement check from Acura so they could promote the upcoming NSX in every theater across the country. Look at Karate Kid Two, Will Smith's kid and Jackie Chan, instant profit. Nevermind the fact that there was no karate in the entire movie and the kid was like ten years old.

They should buy Warner Brothers and then we can get some good DC movies maybe.

Beyond franchises, Disney seems also interested in purchasing based on technology. They bought Pixar before it's first release. What about a video game publisher? Not to acquire licenses, but to make better use of the franchises they already have?

LucasArts is a game publisher. Monkey island, star wars games etc/
