this is nuts! wish I had stock in Disney right now!
Any chance of Whedon writing/directing SW7 after he's done with Avengers???
So Star Wars Episode 7 is now a thing. According to the release on Disney's official website, it sounds like Lucas himself will only be a creative consultant. That seems to suggest that there will be people in place to overrule Lucas if he creatively consults something that's really stupid.
This gives me a flicker of hope.
Also, Disney will make up that 4 billion dollars in no time.

Eh, Comics is a pretty cool guy...
Hell of a golden parachute there George....
Cool enough. Could certainly make for some interesting new material.
I'm just finding the jokes tiring already.

Holy crap ... I'm actually very excited by this. Hopefully they can keep a high level of quality with the new films a la "Clone Wars" cartoon series.
DC: ASW ● A. Man ● Batgirl ● Batman ● Batwoman ● BoP ● E2 ● Flash ● Dial H ● JLD ● S Thing ● Wonder Woman

MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cyclops ad portas
Does that mean no more Star Wars Clone Wars on Cartoon Network :(
Quote from the Disney release:
Well, that doesn't exactly fuel my small flicker of hope.In 2015, we're planning to release Star Wars Episode 7 – the first feature film under the "Disney-Lucasfilm" brand. That will be followed by Episodes 8 and 9 – and our long term plan is to release a new Star Wars feature film every two to three years.
Also, does this mean we'll get a Star Wars world in Kingdom Hearts 3?
Eh, Comics is a pretty cool guy...
I'm curious where they'll go with Episode 7 and beyond. I'm sure they'll do a trilogy, because why wouldn't you? But I don't know enough about the EU, especially in the post-RotJ time period to know what might come next.
It would certainly be odd if they were to recast Luke, Leia, and Han though. I'm sure there's plenty of other major characters that come along, but I could see them trying to stick with what everyone already knows.
I like Ultimate Comics. - Read them with us!
I also buy: Captain America, Avengers, FF, New Avengers, X-Factor, among others
