Thread: Which Remender?

  1. #1

    Default Which Remender?

Would you rather prefer cap. or his uncanny avengers. I'm interested in both but can't afford both of them.
What are in your opinion the pros and cons of each book?

Ps. Like his uxf run a lot.

It really depends on whether Cap is your fav character or not because his solo will focus on cap in some scifi adventures while Uncanny will focus on the other non A-list members like Wanda, Rogue, and Havok .

Read Uncanny Avengers but have not the foggiest interest in Cap so... UA? I guess. It wasn't even that great.

Uncanny Avengers will more directly continue from UXF. The art is far better.

The artist will not stay for long time i guess. So the art can change.

Generaly i think that what i read in the interview about his cap. sounds good. He promises a lot of cool stuff. Like a deep characterization of caps. past and horror elements.

On the other hand i like the cast of uncanny and the fact that it will have similarities to UXF is an argument too.

I really wish i could buy both of them but its both 3.99 so it cant be.

Both seem great so i think the best option is just getting these two comics.

If I was getting either, I'd have picked Cap.

If I could only pick one, I'd probably pick Cap as well. That's largely because I really like Cap and because while I read both, I generally prefer solo books over team books.

Also, I'm a little leery about what's going to happen to Uncanny Avengers art-wise, or delay-wise, because I simply cannot believe that Cassaday can keep up a monthly schedule....while I'm fairly certain that JRJR can, with the awesomeness that is Dean White covering up his faults.

Not trying to brag or anything, but since my budget allows it I plan to pull all three of Remender's new books; that includes Devolution which is coming over at Dynamite. I have high hopes for another Fear Agent :)

    my list looks like this:

    Daredevil
    Hawkeye
    Young Avengers
    FF

    ANXM
    Cable and X-Force
    Batman
    WatXM

    Uncanny Avengers or Captain America

I guess i tend towards Cap. since i have enough X-Books. And the premise of cap. sounds very interesting. He wants to show Cap. from another site.

Cap would be my pick. Uncanny feels a little bit like more of the same. Cap seems to be taking the character to new places which is extremely exciting. That said, Uncanny will probably be more relevant to the main story that Marvel is pushing, whereas Cap seems to be a side quest for him alone.

Get Uncanny Avengers for sure if you have to pick one. in UA you get Cap and a team. More bang for your buck. You have elements of Remender's work in UXF like Kid Apocalypse also to look forward to. I feel your pain at having to pick one. Remender is the best writer out there imo and I would read anything he put out. Wait for the trade on Cap.
