Invincible is worth reading from the start i think. Theres two compendiums out there for quite cheap i believe.
Good jump on points for Spawn would be 185, 201 or 220.

Is Fatale a limited series or an ongoing title? I figure if it's an ongoing I should probably just jump in with the floppies since I usually trade-wait a limited series.
Fatale is a limited series. Brubaker hinted in the most recent interviews that he's now planning to extend the series up to the 20th issue (as opposed to the previously planned 12 issues).
Just a little update......
Yesterday Book 1 of the WD compendium arrived, I cant put this thing down. One reason I use to read alot of comics is cos Im typically not the biggest reader in the world. However, I cant put this puppy down and am on the last chapter. What kinda sucks, is I have to wait till next friday before I can buy volume 2, and honestly Im debating on that or Invicible's compendium. Probably go with WD since I got Issues 97-103 arriving any day now. Also just throwing this out there as its not a Image publication, but has anyone read any of Dark Horses The Massive? The story sounds like something that would intrest me and issues 1-4 arrived today.

I think hoax hunters is image, if I'm right try it.

SAGA! It's the best of star wars that you loved the original star wars I mean. It even has a strong Game of thrones feel to it. This is everything and the kitchen sink science fiction at its best. You have badass bounty hunters. Intricate witty dialouge. The supporting cast gets as much time as the main characters! It's my favorite book of 2012 I am very passionate about it.
I highly recommend all of the Image stuff I'm reading.
-The Walking Dead. It's now over 100 issues, but it's all been collected in TPBs so easy to catch up on (that's how I did it) and it's just been fantastic! One of my favourite comics.
-Chew. This. Comic. Is. So. Much. Fun!
-Revival. Only 4 issues in.
-Saga. Amazing. I regret not picking up a first print #1 when it was released because I didn't know what it was.
-Whispers. A 6 issue miniseries, #4 just came out. I love this so much!
-Bulletproof Coffin and Bulletproof Coffin: Disinterred. Both of these were great fun!
-Bedlam. #1 just came out yesterday, but it really was brilliant and I have high hopes for this series!
-Fatale. It's now been extended to 20 issues I believe, really good series. Picked up #1 on a whim, so pleased I did!
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.
Show Teddy some love!

My second update......didnt see any reason to start another thread.....
Image seems to be as strong as ever with so many new books who's first printings are alot more than Id expect for a book with less than 20 issues out. Also doesnt seem like Image should be 20 years old, like Ive mentioned before I left the hobby a few years after Image first started and seeing that big 20 up there makes me feel like a old man. Also makes me realize how much Ive missed.
Ive been spending alot of time on their site and reading about their diffrent books and I must say I dont see myself spending as much coin on the old comic standards as I had orginaly thought I would. I'll have to buy some batman and stuff for my son but as far as myself there is no end in sight of good titles by Image to fill my pull list. Im also interested in a handfull of Dark Horse books as well, but not sure where to talk about Dark Horse here.
One thing Id like to find that I'll probably have to just sit down and figure out is what is active out of what Images site shows and who are the current artists and writers doing the work.
I ordered a copy of Bedlam today, as well as #1 & #2 of Happy!, Astounding Wolf-Man #8 and Battle Pope #8, #10, and #13....The last as a sample plus they was just $1 each.
All this has got me thinking about starting to write again, dont know how far it will go seeing how Im not very good at drawing and dont know any artists anymore as well as my grammar and writing has gone down hill over the past decade since I stopped doing it.
Image comics I read:
Chew: Can't recommend this enough. It is freaking funny and different.
Witchblade
Fatale
Alpha Girl
Revival
Manhattan Projects
Haunt
Current Favorites: The Goon, Batgirl, Chew, Witchblade, Vibe, The Sixth Gun, Saga, Billy the Kids Old Time Oddities, Fatale, Batwoman, Talon, Storm Dogs, Earth 2, Justice League of America, Slumptown

Thanks I just went and read the 1st issue of Thief of Thieves and Invicible, both seemed very good and just peaked my intrest into them more.
I stopped buying superhero books since "The New 52" started last September. Now I mostly buy Image, Dark Horse, and IDW -- pretty much in that order.
My favorite Image books are...
Mind the Gap
Thief of Thieves
Peter Panzerfaust
Morning Glories
I buy more titles but this is a short list of the ones I really like and recommend them to anyone interested.
I do buy some books from Dark Horse, but I have not had a chance to read them yet. The Massive and Mind MGMT are the main creator-owned books I buy (I mostly buy their Star Wars books), and I heard good things about them. I suggest you discuss Dark Horse in the "Independents" forum on these boards. I happen to visit that forum as well.![]()
Image is killing it, When Image puts something out just buy it and decide from the issue if you want to keep going, you probably will. Also, this Internet TV show is weekly and they always talk about what's really good. This episode is just on Image.
I say go for Hoax hunters, the trades coming out in December (1-4 issues) and issue 5 is january.
