Thinking about how Sledgehammer 44 ties into LoJo and reading his appearance in the third Plague of Frogs HC today got me thinking about just when all of Lobster Johnson's stories take place. I'm usually not one for time lines but it seemed like a fun exercise and a good excuse to re-read all of the Lobster's appearances.

In the supplemental materials collected in the Iron Prometheus it states that from February 1932 to December 1938 Lojo was active in New York City and killed as many as 250 criminals. This lines up with what we've seen so far only, at least to me, it would seem that he was active in some way before 1932 because in the Burning hand he already has a pretty well organized network. So for now his exact origin remains a mystery with the following being an attempt to pin together his life.

February, 1932: The Events of the Burning Hand take place
April, 1932?: The Prayer for Neferu. There's no exact date as the invitation didn't list the year but I feel okay listing it in 1933 as it was published between the Burning Hand and Caput Mortuum
June, 1932: Caput Mortuum
1933: Tony Masso's Finest Hour

1937: Iron Prometheus
1938: The Killer in my Skull
1938: Most of his gang gets killed and he stops looking for Menan Saa(the Black Goddess)
1939: The Crimson Hood. It's from Weird Tales so its canocity could be in question for some as it could be a story from an in universe Lobster Johnson comic but it fits in with the nazi busting he was doing around this time and I like it so it happened as far as I'm concerned.
1939: The Night Train nazi incident
1939: Hunt Castle/death

After Life(based on the times worked out by Middenway)

2000: Conqueror Worm
200?: The present day portion of Night Train. There's no date given but is has to take place sometime after Hellboy left in 2001 but before Daimio appeared in 2004.
September 2006: Killing Ground
October 2006: The Warning
December 2006: The black Goddess
January 2007: King of Fear; Spirit is put to rest.

I think those are all his appearances, at least those published thus far, but if I've missed any I'd love to know!
