I like Cap, but I'll always prefer Spider-Man.

In popularity Spiderman will win. As who is the better probably Steve for sure. He gives hope......Spiderman does as well but its not the same. Cap just carries that "Superman" aura but with much less power.

I like Cao but Spider-Man has always been my favorite Marvel hero and if we're talking universal appeal he wins by a large margin.

Spider-man. By the way Cap doesn't come even close to Superman. I don't know where comes the notion that he's the Marvel equivalent of Superman. Not at all.
