It better be smarter than the origin of Doomsday, hahaha.
I'm excited to see Atomic Skull back. But isn't AC Annual about Kryptonite Man?
Yes, in the main feature by Sholly Fisch.
Well, I should really read before I post.
What Max Landis is doing seems extremely risky. But hey, this is what Superman needs right now. I can see the potential for Atomic Skull to come back as a very terrifying villain. One thing I thought Superman lacked was a villain like Joker/Scarecrow. Someone that could creep the hell outta you. Of course Superman was never much about that, that was Batman's shtick. But it'll be nice to see some variety in his rogue gallery.
Lets hope Max Landis pull this off.
Cool, I always liked Atomic Skull. I think if used right, he could be a very frightning, and intimidating Supes villain. I wonder how they'll change his design. Also I'm very interested in the Kryptonite Man story.
Whatever Atomic Skull's origin, we've already seen him, albeit kind of like a cameo shot, and I can't remember if he did anything in the issue:
It'll be cool seeing his origin though. I wonder how different it'll be for the New 52?

Could be a really interesting backup, primarily since Landis mentioned there would be no words. Makes you really focus in on the action, and the art itself. A gamble, but one that could really payoff if its really well done.
- Yes, madam, I am drunk. But in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

This was my first exposure to Atomic Skull
Always thought him to be a Ghost Rider ripoff. But I dig the character.

Given the past year's worth of "meh" we've gotten in regards to Superman, I figure the bar isn't too high. He's enthusiastic, I'll give him that.
It'll also be interesting to see if this leads to more DC work for Landis.
Have their been any interviews with Scholly Fisch about his main story?

His thing about not going too cartoon-y is the exact opposite of where I want Superman to go. I want something epic and cosmic that really pushes the boundaries, not Superman having a conversation with an over the top Joker. That was already dealt with years ago in a short story where Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) was escorting the Joker back to Arkham and had to deal with the madness Batman faces on a day to day basis and he got scared.
I don't need to see a re-thread of that with Superman. I must admit, I didnt like Max Landis in that Death of Superman video thing, even if he was playing up a character, I can still hear the douchey tone here when I read this.

I think the video is pretty funny! Max Landis is ok with the words. I want to know how is without them.
Part Kryptonian, Part Asgardian, all Genius.
Hmmm... I don't mind him handling this short story for the annual, but I felt uneasy when I read his take on Superman. I simply don't like it. I thought "and here we go again with the 'let's make Superman more human' CRAP". I've had enough of that foolish approach.

Goodbye León (november 16th, 1993 - june 12th, 2009). You were, are and always will be the best friend I ever had. I will always love you and never forget you. And please, please forgive me.
Thank you for teaching me about love, patience and caring. Rest in Peace, my friend. I hope that wherever it is you are now, you can run and play as much as you want.
