I think Spider-Man at his best is kind of a mixture between Batman, Superman and the Flash. Spidey's and Batmans villains stand above the rest, just a great collection of villains. Sure, Spidey is more about Peter, but Marvel seems to have lost the ability to make Peter relatable these days, to the point that they now have to replace him. Meanwhile, Bruce isn't just a mask. There is a private Bruce Wayne that not many see, but that's who he is. I think Batman is a bit of a mask too.
