I'm really disappointed that nobody at Marvel deems Storm as a viable leader to fill the void in the wake of Xavier's death and Cyclops imprisonment. She's proven herself capable and willing to make the tough decisions when necessary, but she's also a substantially more likeable character in-universe compared to Scott, able to be kinder and more compassionate.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

Bendis didn't say that Storm won't be the leader. He just says that there isn't one right now. Plus, after her disgraceful behavior of the past ten years, I'm not sure many readers would respect the decision to make her a leader again. Originally Posted by BrotherUnitNo_4
