Their hero's mess up, if you want hero's that don mess up read DC. Because I can tell you now that, that is how Marvel is going to continue to write them.
Because that is how I see the mu and I've seen no reason to change. And yes Hank did hit his wife, Tony was the scum of the Earth in cw and skipped away from that. You made my point, they do what they want to who they want and get away with it. Virtually the only difference between a good guy and bad guy in the mu is the needs of the story. If the writer needs a character to be bad -as Bendis did with the Scarlet Witch- then presto they are bad. There are no moral guidelines, just the needs of the story. That's what I see when I read the stories and that's what I'll say until I see something different. No one has to read or respond to my post if they don't want too.

Reading this post it look like your problem is, more with the writers than the characters.

Didn't the Sinister High Evolutionary thing kill a bunch of Neo.

Als they way they did it...reverted everyone to human perfectly....during that the neck lady would have just had a normal neck.

The long neck grew as a result of her mutation, was it magically going to shrink? He power allowed her to live with that long neck

The writers control the characters. Since the writers seem to attach no value to the individual suffering in the mu how can their characters really feel any remorse? Wanda was used by a writer for a cheap dramatic plot point. Bendis didn't care about her as a character, her history or the consequences of the character and neither did marvel. With Children's Crusade marvel didn't even care enough about the character to put the book out on time or write it well. Yes I do have a problem with that. But you can't separate the writer from the character. Now this latest writer is basically a spin master. His job is to say 'Well yes, she did that, but she feels really bad about it and she's going to be a hero from now on. Look at the really bad supervillains she has to face.' In my opinion it's cheap, phony and utterly predictable and it reduces to nothingness all of the suffering of the mutants that the first writer had the character of Wanda brutally hurt. This is -in my opinion- the philosophy behind marvel: if you have the right PR and can cry a lot then you can hurt anyone you want and in a few years people will 'get over it' and you can be a hero again. Right or wrong doesn't enter into it.
