I'm not so much worried about who Iron Patriot is and more about what this means for the mutants. From everything I've read it seems like this is a character that will keep them in line and following Caps rules whether they like it or not.

Well with the February solicits out, It looks as if Captain America and Iron Patriot are not one in the same. So that cancels him out.

Ok I am going to revise my guess and say that the Ultimate Patriot is a brainwashed Ultimate Nuke(Frank Simpson.). Andd his armour is set to explode if he ever takes it off.
