So Snyder is currently mentoring a female former student of his with the intent of bringing her onto the backups in Batman? And this is after having mentored Tynion, brought him onto the backups in Batman, and then turned him loose as a solo writer? It all makes perfect sense now. Snyder is Batman. He's creating his own army of Bat-Writers to take over Gotham. After that, they conquer DC. After that, they take over the world
    Current favorites:

    DC: Smallville, Supergirl, Detective Comics
Marvel: Ultimate X-Men, Scarlet Spider, X-Factor, Thor
Other: Saga, Angel & Faith, Buffy

Loved the shoutout to the Elliott S! Maggin Superman novels. Everyone should read those books.
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.

There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.

I have to say I love Snyder does help out his students and help them into the industry, better than my damn Chemistry professors who wont give people a heads up on the ins and out of the field ....

    Hahaha.

But yes, Snyder letting students in this way is not a bad way of getting talent into the field. Certainly better than some of the others we have seen.

Thats because they only help their favorites. I'm sure Snyder is only helping his favorites or the ones who've gotten close to him. If he is still talking to them after a more then a couple semesters, it means that he's close to them.

I think the big problem I have with the Joker story is that I have basically zero attachment to this Batman family. They've cut a lot of the characters that I used to read about, and have introduced the Robins in a crammed 5 year timeline so that they don't even feel like the characters I've grown to (ie Dick Grayson without New Teen Titans). The story hinges on the whole idea of Batman developing a family, but it just feels really hollow to me.
