I for one am very excited to see where they're going with this new version of a very lame old villain.
Holy SH*T!!!! I totally did not see that reveal coming but yet it makes perfect sense. And that cliffhanger!! One of the craziest I've seen in three decades plus of reading comics!! If anyone hasn't picked up this issue yet....GO GET IT!!
Yeah, it was a great reveal that came out of nowhere but makes perfect sense. I double checked back to #18 and it was all clear as day. The book was getting a little shaky after the Omega Effect and while there had been great issues since that they still hadn't gotten their legs back. But the last two issues have been fantastic and have returned the book to form (and considering that form is nigh perfection...). Between Marcos Martin taking off, Paolo Rivera being slow and a bunch of fill-ins Chris Samnee's speed and consistency is very welcome. #20 will be his seventh issue, officially making him the artist for the majority of the book so far. Now that he is done with Rocketeer maybe they'll be able to do some double shipping. Normally I'm not a fan but with this book I make an exception.
Loved this issue. I yelled at that last page, and got chills immediately after.
Yeah that was about as flawless an executed plot twist as you can imagine.
Unbelievable.
This is how you tell a story.
This was a perfect issue. PERIOD.
I just noticed they're doing a logo gimmick with this arc. The logo is filled with blood and is draining.
Aww yeah. Loved this issue.
After reading the twist and cliffhanger, was grinning and yelling, "No!"
Huge round of applause to Waid/Samnee.
