I'm going to have to re-read through Uncanny, because I didn't really find his run to be spectacular. I remember loving Issue 4, with the Phalanx, but other than that, I didn't find much that I'd rave about. Maybe my mind will change when I re-read uncanny. Oh, and I did like his issue of New Mutants. I remember that one being pretty good.
I've never had a signaure before. This is pretty rad.

I thought the Tabula Rasa arc and the last issue in Sinister's domain to be very weak but other than that I thought it was fantastic.

You couldn't have the emotional toll of AvX reach a crescendo without the idea of the unwife planted firmly in the reader's fallow field of comprehension.

I loved it and look forward to reading through it without meandering into events.

    Too bad he's moving Avengers-side.

I really liked Gillen's run, but I honestly can't imagine what he'd do if he didn't have to deal with AvX. Had he gotten the chance to do 20 more issues, with a good artist and no event, I think we'd have something truly amazing on our hands.

I think he'll be back. His fanbase is building really quickly, so by the time bendis is done I could easily see Gillen coming back if he wants to.

This is so depressing. We're losing grade A complex trolling for period and fart jokes.

Gillen was onto something great with the Extinction Team. He was getting back to the old school feel but keeping it fresh. The team may not have been a family anymore but they came together as something much greater. If he had been allowed to continue I'm sure the X-men would have been back to number 1 despite the Avengers movies.

His run on Uncanny was fantastic. My favourite since Morrison. A feat of sheer genius. But Generation Hope was in better hands with Asmus.

Agreed. I couldn't have put it better myself. Now only if they would give him the keys to the franchise along with Immonen, people would be going "Avengers who?".

I loved this run and to his credit his stories weren't self containted like morrisons, joss or ricks, I think what makes his run special is the fact that he had to keep up with crossovers and changes when those other writer didn't want to
