Kain had followed after the others by turning into mist.

~Flandre, having followed the vampire group, seemed to find that it was very much worth it to come all the way out to this strange place. Because she didn't think that any humans existed in the world they were in. So, naturally when they reached Minnesota, she realized otherwise. Lots of humans, and more importantly edible humans. Unlike other vampires Flandre wasn't one to simply drink the blood of a victim, she was one to rip the victim apart, drink from the fountain that the removed pieces provided and then proceed to consume the entire corpse as well over a length of time varied to the size of her kill. Where she was from this sort of action was considered to be the behavior of a demon rather than a vampire, but considering that she is blood related to a vampire who does what every other vampire does it can be concluded that she is in fact a vampire. So, what does she do? She kyuus innocent people, begins to consume them, and laughs as she does this. She didn't think of killing as killing. As a child she considered it playing. Death to her wasn't what it was to others.~

In Duluth Grace Lessing dismissed her bat-steed, having decided that mist-form was a more agreeable mode of travel. Drifting into a theater where a ballet troupe was performing Swan Lake, she recognized the prima ballerina as one of those who had jeered at her fruitless efforts to master the art of dance as a young girl. In a fit of envy and resentment, aggravated by painful memories, she solidified mid-stage and fanged her former tormenter, taking grim pleasure in the horrified gasps of the onlookers--save for a few in the audience who applauded, assuming it was part of the show.

She then recalled someone else, whose mocking applause had been far more recent. "That Alex Elder is a bit too self-righteous with his attitude about not feeding on humans," she muttered. "It would serve him right if he were branded the Traitor. Maybe he really is; those too-virtuous-to-believe people are mostly hypocrites."

    OOC: Vote for Alex Elder.

Alucard teleported his way to Duluth, Minnesota. He already had his fill with mortals. However, we just wanted a fight. The peace at the party was oh-so boring. But if there were no combatants to fight, he'd just simply relax with blood in a wine glass. Minnesota was KNOWN for lax gun laws so many citizens can have carry of firearms. It would be out of character if the libertarian paradise showed no resistance.

Some vampires ducked into local coffee shops, some into multiplex theaters....the citizens of Duluth that weren't fleeing in terror were doing their best to keep things going.

And Dracula? What exactly was he doing at the Trinity Masonic Temple at West 1st Street?
"Typical tourist trap," Count Duckula shakes his head as he and his two companions walk wearily into Duluth, Minnesota. "Just look at all of this, will you? I'll bet we won't get rooms anywhere! We should have called for reservations!"

"It's a certainly chaotic assault," Igor observes. "Vampires today have no organization or sense of decorum. In the days of the old Master, everyone waited their turn to strike at the townsfolk, with elegance and dignity. Now just look! I'm surprised they aren't feeding on the stray cats too."

Marching behind them with finger on her beak, Nanny muses, "You know, Duckyboos, Mr. Igor, I think there was something we were supposed to do, but haven't done yet..."

"That would be voting for who we believe would be the murderers of the Cullen couple, but I fail to see why we should bother, unless it is to congratulate the perpetrator of the deed," Igor replies.

The Count frowns and rubs his chin. "Hm! Well, democracy is a gift that must be exploited regardless, so... I think I'll vote Barnabas Collins! He has all the makings of a creepy guilty party!"

"I don't believe he is in the list of suspects, Master," Igor comments.

"He isn't? Oh, well, then... then... then I vote Alucard! Obviously, he is in cahoots wioth Dracula! I've found it because I figured the secret of his name! See, written backwards, it spells 'Dracula'! That must mean they're in the same side!"

"Oh, you're so bright, Duckyboos!" Nanny claps. "Wait, how does the spelling thing go, again?"

"Brilliant, Master, simply brilliant. I find myself in awe," Igor rolls his eyes. "Now, where should we head next? To confront the featherless pretender, or to join the random orgy of bloodletting?"

"Actually, I was wondering if we could find a karaoke bar open at this time," the Count says. "Yoo-hoo, Miss Marceline!" he waves. "Don't you want join us? I've been told I sing a mean 'It's Raining Men'!"

    OOC: Voting Alucard.

"Yo drac, how can you be in two places at once? IS this some big kind of joke? I mean really, did you think an anagram would fool us, Alucard?" Alex asked, pointing at the Hellsing anti-hero

"That would be too obvious. Do realize that glaringly large correlations and connections are nothing more than decoys." Alucard mocked those who accused him of being the traitor. "Sure my name reads Dracula backwards, but in reality, I'm not even one bit connected. If you wanna know who the traitor really is, take a look at Kain. Sure everyone took hits at the sparkly fairy who calls himself a vampire, but Kain was the most vehement of the administrators."

    OOC: Voting for Kain.

"I just figured he was the most vehement cause he's old. I mean old vamps usually are grouchy where I'm from, figure it's the same thing here" Alex replied to Alucard, shrugging his shoulders.

"An accusation most fowl, Count Duckula. But then, there appear to be two Barnabas Collinses in this mad gathering. Still, your servant speaks sense."

That Barnabas Collins rose up in the air.

"COME! Count Dracula has been located, and wishes to use his magic vial for devastative purposes! Follow me to the temple!" All the vampires that cared to followed him, where they saw Dracula on the front steps. Dark energies were swirling around him, the vial around his neck glowing with an eerie green light.

OOC: Conclusion tonight or tomorrow. If someone would like to take Dracula out, please PM me a scenario (and please actively write Dracula in it, I won't be able to fill in his parts of the battle) and I will consider it. Doesn't have to be terribly detailed.

Also note we have a tie. One vote change before deadline is allowed, per Traitor Game tradition.
    Voting tally:

1 Alex Elder - Grace Lessing
    2 Kain - Alucard, Vampirella
3 Alucard - Alex Elder, Count Duckula, Kain

Vampirella had once she had arrived to Duluth acted as pest control helping out the locals from the more bite prone vampires while at the same time searching for Dracula. Soon she would hear Barnabas calling out to them and she followed. "We have to win this...or else all worlds are doomed."

There wasn't much to do here, but Dio Brando had grown to become a a very patient man over the years. With the medieval vampire hunter's blood still fresh in his system, he didn't have to worry about feeding. What he was concerned about was that vial Dracula had so proudly boasted about.

He could care less about if Dracula obtained the others' powers, but he would not give him even the smallest fraction of his World.

"To be fair, he did lunge so abruptly into Kain's arms." He replied with a smirk. "Sometimes, decoys can be decoys...or they happen to be the best cover. No offense, but I suppose I'll go with the crowd on this one."

Vampirella's claws would grow out as she glared at Dracula. "While you are not my worlds Dracula you share all of his worst characteristics. Stop this madness before I have to stop you."

Dracula would merely scoff as he touched the necklace containing the vial. "You? Do you not understand the severity? I am no longer Dracula lord of vampires. With the Darkness by my side I shall be Dracula, ruler of All!"

The necklace with the vial seemed to be more than a mere trinket as Dracula proceeded to fire a row of orbs made of fire towards the crowd, one that which Vampirella barley managed to duck. Quick on her feet she got up again and beelined it towards Dracula and attempted to slash him across the face only to be pushed back.

“And this is where it ends.", Kain said as he leapt behind Dracula, and as the ancient vampire turned to face Kain his eyes went wide, as the Soul Reaver was thrust through his chest. "Even the highest can fall..."

"And the lowest will rise and inherit the Earth." To Kain's surprise the blow did not seem to cause him much discomfort as Dracula pushed Kain away from him and sent him crashing down on the street where Vampirella would help him get back to his feet as the other vampires present tried to fight him off.

"Clearly his new found master has granted him a few more tricks." Vampirella replied. "We need to find a more definitive way to put him down."

"Perhaps, this is where my powers of telekinesis will come into play...If I can hold him long enough for you or another to deliver the killing blow we might stand a chance. "

"That almost sounds like a plan." She turned back towards Dracula her hands forming into claws again. "I'll do it. Try your best to hold him. We cannot let the Darkness free in this world or any other." With that she would once again move towards Dracula in an effort to end his reign.

With that, Kain's face would turn grimly serious as his hands glowed yellow and soon Dracula would find himself being held by Kain's telekinesis, though he obviously wouldn't stay still without a fight and as he resisted it took nearly all of Kain's energy to keep the vampire in one spot. "...Stay still damn you!"

Vampirella would use the opportunity to severe the Lord of Vampires head clean of his shoulders.

It was all for naught however... The blood gushing from his wounds would put the head back in its place and Dracula would merely grin as he grabbed Vampirella by the throat with superhuman strength. “A pretender vampire such as yourself should be shown your place.”

Kain growled, as he then resorted to another tactic of lighting's which came at Dracula and slamming into him, the electricity would cause him to fly back, while also causing him to drop Vampirella. Making his way over to her, he asked. "Are you alright?"

She'd get up with shaky feet. "I'm fine thank you for the assistance." She'd look towards Dracula who was getting back to his feet. "There must be a conduit for his new found powers...wait that necklece. We need to get rid of that necklace. Cover me!" Again Vampirella would join the fray turning on her shadow form as she fired shadow bolts towards him to get him to stagger.

Kain would then start to dash from side to side, hurling fireballs at Dracula thanks to his power of pyrokinieses. "Is two simply too much even for one of your power?"

"My powers are infinite, you sorry excuse for a vampire lord!" Dracula boasted as he fired a bolt of energy towards Kain while deflecting Kain's fire with a slap of his hand. Meanwhile Vampirella would have come up close and with her claws stab Dracula's necklace through causing it to explode and the ensuing feedback made Vampirella get thrown backwards. Dracula himself would fall on his knees to the ground. "No! My Godhood! My...Eternal darkness..."

Picking up Soul Reaver, Kain walked towards Dracula and raised the sword above his head before bringing it downwards and stabbing it into Dracula's chest. "You'll have your eternal darkness now.."

Dracula would screech out in pain as the Soul Reaver pierced him his body freezing in place before it started to wither and crumble to dust that got scattered by the wind. Dracula the Lord of Vampires was no more and the battle had been won.

OOC: Thank you Jeremi and Nicker for the spectacular finish!

Countess Carmilla Karnstein approached the pile of dust that had once been Count Dracula. A green mist hovered over it. The clouds of the infernal thunderstorm began parting - random vampires made a hasty retreat. But the players all gathered around Carmilla.

"And so it is over - and yet, why do I feel it has just begun?"

On cue, from the green mist, a small incandescent pearl arose in the air. It floated upwards and upwards, until a small crow dropped in from the sky, grasped it in its beak ... and was gone...

"Indeed Karnstein. THAT Dracula was but a pawn, a predictable pawn at that - one whose megalomania served The Darkness well."

    All whirled to see:

"Look around you...all the Darkness and its servants wanted was for the belief in the vampire to be heightened, to be exacerbated, to create the right kind of fear and dread. Duluth Minnesota shall never forget this night of horror. That fear, that atmosphere distilled - it is but one of the many pearls The Darkness will seek to gather, and awake.

    It is over."

THE END. (to be continued in further tales/games)
