In response to this AMC will probably cut the budget again.
Genre shows kicking butts, I love it.

I hope the actor who plays Rick got himself a good contract. Regardless, his *next one* damn sure will be. He's the one guy character they can never kill.
.The season 3 premiere now reigns as the biggest telecast for any drama series in basic cable history among all viewers
That's not the same thing as "top rated TV show of the year...period." Is there something missing in the article, or is that just a mistake?
If they're still comparing it to cable then that should mean the top-ranked shows on network still rate higher.

other stories on the web say it ranked higher than any of the major network programs this fall .. Kirkman now rules TV!

The Season 3 premiere of AMC's The Walking Dead delivered the biggest ratings in the adult demo than any other entertainment series this fall (including all broadcast shows), earning its highest rating to date, more than 50% over last season's premiere.
Wow!
...and he geeks shall inherit the earth...
And not avaiable on DISH....
no AMC in Dish network????![]()
I know. I'm one of the unfortunate ones who has Dish and they had to have known when I signed my contract with them that they were removing AMC. Lucky I have a cable supplement so I can watch local sports and it has AMC but no DVR'ing so if I miss something I have to wait for the reairing of it later on. Dish sucks! So think about it The Walking Dead did all this without however many Dish subscribers like myself who weren't able to watch on Dish.
Edit - Forgot to add even if it barely drizzles you can lose complete signal. Happens to me all the time. Heaven forbid it rains hard or storms. You might as well kiss watching tv goodbye on days when that happens.... I had DirectTV before and not near as many problems but it cost way more too. I guess you get what you pay for, except with Dish cause they didn't lower prices after dropping AMC and it's affiliates...
