And Willoughby Kipling was supposed to be Constantine, but Morrison wasn'rt allowed to use him because Doom Patrol was a DCU book and Vertigo characters were off limits in those.

Thanks. And thanks for reminding me that Milligan wrote him in both without mucking it up. Post-Milligan JLD Constantine makes me want to punch my own face. But that excuse of "well, to fit in the DC Universe" just seems inane.

You must punch your face a lot with that overreaction, seriously. Also while i really love Milligan's run (and i really do), i hope he wraps everything up soon so we can get new creative team. Now that's a better question, who would you like to succeed Milligan/Camuncoli/Landini/Bisley.
