Default DC Cancels "Blue Beetle," Three Others In January

As it enters the new year, DC Comics is again clearing the decks of its New 52 line by canceling "Blue Beetle," "Grifter," Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E." and "Legion Lost" with some other low-sellers earning new teams to move forward.

Shame , they should bring back a Booster Gold solo title, or may be a Blue & Gold title?

They picked good books to cancel once again IMO. These books sold poorly, all except one were not received well critically, and the characters can transition right over to other books.

    Blue Beetle - to Threshold
Grifter - to Team 7 / future WildCATs
Frankenstein - to Justice League Dark
Legion Lost - I am assuming they will go back to Legion proper
Saga, Private Eye, Chew, Umbral, Deadly Class, Pretty Deadly

She-Hulk, Ghost Rider, Loki, Moon Knight, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Punisher, X-Factor

Frankenstein was consistently entertaining. This is a real shame.

And I have been the ONE reader who has been reading Grifter.

I literally bought issue #2 yesterday with the intention of catching up to the present. Seems like a waste now.

It's fairly entertaining in and of itself. Think of it as a maxi-series.
The DC relaunch was successful and was executed in what was most likely the best way it could given restrictions we wouldn't know about. No, your idea wouldn't have worked. Now move on.

Honest question: How is you reading 16 issues of a comic you like a waste?

Booster Gold is a possible book for February.

Grifter is more likely to go to future WildCATS then Team 7 (since it's part of his past and no longer exists in present day)

I've heard it'll be all in one trade, as with BB, as the second trade got pushed back a few months and now has a reportedly larger page count.

While four get axed, the article states that two new ones will be a Superman Book and a JLA book. I hope any other new series bring some diversity. I don't want to see low performers go only to be replaced with safe picks that could be just more of the same.
Current Favorites: The Goon, Batgirl, Chew, Alex + Ada,The Sixth Gun, Saga, Diskordia, Think Tank, Archie, Rachel Rising, Red Sonja, X, Wonder Woman, Powerpuff Girls, Ms. Marvel

I'll finish out Blue Beetle since it will tie directly into Threshold, which I also plan on collecting. Since it was already on the bubble for me, I'll probably just drop Grifter now.
