If we're using the Governor's first attack on the prison as reason why Woodbury is easier to defend than the prison then I say that's weak evidence. The only reason they got bushwacked is because they didn't have anyone on lookout. I will also point out that Woodbury's defenses were just as easily breached by Rick's group and Woodbury had people on look out.

Also, I would argue that Rick's group wouldn't have withstood the Governor's 2nd attack if they were in Woodbury. The buildings wouldn't stand up to the grenade launcher and the 50 cal. At least in the prison they were able to fall back into the tunnels so the Governor's forces were not able to use the heavy weaponry against them.

Whats with The Wire actors being favoured to get regular cast member roles? Is one of the showrunners, other producers big fav of The Wire like many other tv fans?

Is it just actors doing good audition job or being impressive in other roles or producers having fav actors from The Wire.

They were all good actors on a very well received series?

Most likely its just coincidence of finding the right actors for the roles. The guy playing Tyrese looks almost exactly like comics Tyrese, has it easier to capture the right tone.

I dont disagree since i think The Wire is the most ambitious, best written tv show i have seen. Im not dissing my alltime fav tv show. Was just saying it was few years old now in comparison to seeing the actors getting other prominent roles.

Lance Reddick in Fringe is funny, he plays the exact same role as police middle level cheif as FBI boss of Dunham like when he was unit boss for McNulty and co.
