Can anyone confirm for me if issue #3 shipped with 2 covers? Supposedly a Sebastian Fiumara cover and a Max Fiumara variant cover (according to the March 2013 Previews).

I don't think it did, I think those are only on the Abe Sapian issues.

Issue 2 of Abe Sapien was originally announced in solicitations as having two covers, one by Sebastian and one by Max, but that didn't end up happening. Only issue 1 and 4 have variants so far. I don't remember any variants being mentioned for Vampire though.

Yeah, my bad, I made a transcribing error on my monthly lists. Fortunately Previews for March and April were still in the recycling bin, so I pulled them back out and verified the info. I wonder why the Abe Sapien variants for issue 2 and 3 were removed. Maybe they'll appear in the trade.

The art in this is phenomenal! The first few issues felt like a bit of an infodump, but that's definitely necessary given that this is all new territory. Great action and tension and spookiness in this one, and I know the pacing will feel better when all five issues are out to be read in a row.

Just the same as I was not particularly interested in cave people at first, I was not interested in vampires until 1946/7 and now Vampire. These comics know how to get me excited about things I never thought I'd care about. It just comes down to great storytelling! I'm absolutely hooked, this is excellent stuff!

    Poor Simon, though...

Yeah, Simon's character is fantastic like that. i mean, you cheer him on because he's a total bad ass but at the same time you pity him because in becoming a bad ass he is seemingly sacrificing his humanity.
