You know, I like green lantern, i really do...but my one problem with the series as a whole is the guardians. They're always the bad guys...they die but their numbers never seem to be affected and It just seems like after this, which should be the final straw, there should be no coming back for the guardians but we all know eventually they will return as leaders of the GL corp
My other problem with the series is that there's another new human Green Lantern, and he's American. Again.
There are 5-6 billion people in the world, and we end up with FIVE American GLs.
Cool, it looks like Kuder is going to be the ongoing artist for New Guardians maybe I will keep buying it.
Also, I'm glad that Tomasi make me care about Vandor before, you know...![]()
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.
Bummer that things continue apace.
I guess there is no clear and obvious successor to Johns waiting in the wings anyway, though, so fair enough.

Sure the Guardians can come back as leaders of the GL Corps, but they would come back differently. Things change. You never know -- they might never come back. Batgirl got hurt and stayed in a wheel chair for a long time before coming back to Batgirl. And now that she IS back girl, she has come back with a lot of trauma from that whole wheelchair thing. Then there is Jason Todd who never really went back to what he once was. He died a robin and returned from the dead as a villain. He isn't the villain he once was, but he is still not anything near what Robin was. He is a vigilante.
To be fair I'm pretty sure it's been established that the ring goes for the closest eligible person. So it makes sense that it would chose an American if Hal/Sinestro were already in America. Ofcourse they could have written it differently and had someone else be chosen but it makes sense as an in-story explanation.
