I could only see one of them go for Katherine if they just turn their feelings off again, though that doesn't really solve anything. I guess the triangle is here to stay and we can only hope another storyline comes along to go with the triangle that allows us to somewhat take your mind off it. They did it last season to an extent.

If hypothetically they were going the Katherine route, it would simply be a matter of one of them falling for her again. They did both have feelings for her at one point.

But yeah, odds are the more obviously route is to keep the triangle going at least until the very very end of the show. And the key to doing that is probably to constantly have elements of it evolving. Like the whole sire thing... it completely changes the dynamics of the triangle. I doubt it'll stick around, but for now at least it puts a different element in it.

The thing with the Hybrids could arguably be considered self-defense. They would done that to him if they could.

But yeah... that thing at the end was pretty darn evil.

At least they finally adressed (however passingly) the epidemic of open air, underage drinking on the show.

Yeah, I think it's sort of obvious they're kind of phasing out all the parents and "adults" now. Which is almost just as well, since it's starting to look a bit riduculous. Tyler in that last episode, especially in a suit, frankly looked old enough to date his mom.

The one parent I would miss if they killed off was the Sheriff. Hopefully she sticks around. More than anything else I sort of liked that Damon actually kind of developed a friendship with her.

I'm surprised Mrs.Lockwood lasted as long as they did tbh. Also if they want to keep the originals around thats find but don't make the characters incredibly stupid in the process

Leaving town wouldn't necessarily prevent her from being killed. And that's assuming Damon could get to her first. But it's unlikely he'd go after the Sheriff because (A) Caroline wasn't part of the plot to kill him; hell, she tried to stop (albeit for her own benefit) and, (B) Klaus has the hots for Caroline.

And I must say, I found Stefan's and Caroline's conversation about the difference between them and Klaus laughably naive. To me it seems clear that the main difference between them and Klaus wasn't that he didn't have a family who loved him. It was that--while they've all done horrible things--Klaus was still doing them, and enjoying it and they weren't (at least until recently, in Stefan's case).

True. Unless Caroline does something to break Klaus's heart I believe her mom is safe from Klaus.

I find that rather hypocritical myself. Especially as Stefan has done things that could give Klaus a run for his money when it comes to being evil, even if it were a means to an end.
