I think the parallel storylines can work very well as they don't give the impression of forcing readers to buy something they don't buy normally.
Anyone who thinks DC is bringing back the Silver Age doesn't know what the Silver Age is.
There is no such word as "persay," it's per se, two words, from the Latin.
Exactly. Last year we had Regenesis, which was promised to be a bold new chapter in the X-line, with two sides of the franchise...until a year later, when it all got merged again. And in 2010, we had The Heroic Age, whatever THAT was supposed to be.The main challenge Marvel faces with the Marvel NOW! initiative is making it feel significantly more important than the last few waves of relaunches they have done. Many of the titles being replaced are only a year or two old. This rapid turnaround on titles gives the impression the promotion push of the day is just a fleeting thing and likely to be forgotten in a year or two.

He's got a point with Marvel - I know I don't take NOW! too seriously because of the constant revamps and promotions.
A fancy way of saying "we've finished Dark Reign and the Registration stories now". They couldn't just stop putting "Dark Reign" on covers, they had to make it an event - and I'm only half-sneering, for sales reasons they probably did have to make that an event.

Combination of high prices and banners that don't mean anything really does nothing to build interest in Marvel's line-wide branding. Marvel Now! just isn't raising any excitement at the thought they're doing something new, because they aren't. Putting teams and creators in a metaphorical Mixmaster is nothing special.
