I actually felt the exact same way. The way FVL was talking when the EW announcements were first made, I pictured an ethnic female. But I guess if they are riffing off the original McHenry family, then making her white makes sense. And it's not like they don't have a diverse universe of characters (Jack, Harada, Rai, Mirage, etc), but they do need more female presence outside of Harbinger. Originally Posted by Captain Craig

Yesyesyesyesyes! Female protagonists! Though I'd also imagined her less white, maybe brunette or Latina or just darkly complected, but it's not nearly as big a deal with Valiant as it is elsewhere given their great diversity. Being a woman is different enough at this point. So excited!
Looking for artists, know I won't find any. That blows.
