    Default NBA Season 2012-2013 discussion

Pre-season just started, so let's get the ball rolling again.

Super early prediction, Heat repeats against Thunder.

In the East, it's gonna come down between the Heat and the Celtics again. The West seems a little more open.

I will throw a surprise pick out...The Lakers. They have spent this past off-season to win.

Does anybody want to do Fantasy Basketball from Yahoo or ESPN?

I have not done it in years, but the format is you pick players for their stats (as usual) only. Each owner is assigned a point value based on the total of stats. I believe every owner gets 12 spots, 5 starters, and 3 reserves, and 4 bench (bench does not score at all).

For example, if I have the highest scoring overall, I get 10 points, the next owner gets 9 points, etc. There are many stats, but the main ones are scoring, rebounds, assists, 3 pointers, free throw %, steals, blocks, shooting percentage. At end of season, winner is determined. And yes, LeBron is the number 1 pick of course.

Pacers to dominate the Central this year!

...or, at least until Derrick Rose is completely healthy again.

i think that the cavs will win around 10-15 more games than last year if kyrie can stay healthy and this waiters pick ends up working out.

i just want them to be watchable which isn't asking that much.

looking forward to having basketball back either way.
    and i'm counting 1, counting 2, counting 3...

At least the Giants had talent.

The Hawks will start like 10-0 and all the Hawks fans will be whinging about how they get no respect, the team will then regress to the mean, be a 6(maybe 5) seed and be promptly shown the door in the first round.

Final Contract year for Josh Smith ( who will become a free Agent = best year evah). Louis Williams. Al Horford. Jenkins. And perimeter players that can knock down the 3.

Versus. Aging Celtics. Indiana with no true PG. Chicago ..Rose at 70% no backup PG. or PF.

    Um. Wat?

My stone-cold lock of the century....this week is:

Hats off to the old guard : LAKE SHOW over CELTS
Nash finally wins one and Kobe matches MJ in jewelry. Oh and a little fella named Dwight gets it going just in time for the playoff run.

Thunder and Heat both epically fall in playoffs as shortcomings exposed (problems inside for Miami and shot happy OKC forgets to play D or pass the ball, yeah I am looking at you Westbrook.)

    And 50 wins for....Ballin' N'awlins
Kids everywhere feverishly grown in their Unibrows
