He shook his head, walking over to take a look at her. Her expression was peaceful, so much so that he'd think she was merely sleeping if he wasn't told otherwise.

He turned away from her, obviously upset at this change in her condition.

"And the worst part is that Cas doesn't even know. He's more concerned about rescuing Vi than he is about his own fiancee's health right now." He said with a note of anger.

"It's not much, but I'll stay here and try to get something done until Max is confirmed to be fine. Who knows what could happen between now and then?"

Maxana stirs slightly. Rivia can feel that she feels cold and clammy.

"Which makes it worse! Sure, we've got a piecemeal team heading out to save Vi. But it's not like Cas is vital for the job. No, he just has to tag along instead of staying behind to care for Max." Sloane grumbled.
