He looks at the scanner and the suit with an appreciative nod, eventually glancing at the suits Ramilia and Max are wearing as well. "Not bad. You two should definitely get along, so long as you treat Max right. That's pretty much the biggest hang up when it comes to him, if I recall correctly. Oh, one piece of advice, when he makes fun of you, try to roll with it. That's one of his tests."

"I've been tested a lot recently, Sir. Being made fun of will be easy." He sighed. "No need to worry about me not treating Max right, either. I'd die for her."

Sue glances sharply at Akemi, then to Robert and Takeshi. "Yes. Take care of your mother, before I do."

"Huh, sounds like a failsafe. You know, like if a Matron goes ballistic." Sloane frowned. "Rose, if he ever comes after you, I'm going to have to wreck him."

There was no way that he was going to let Gawain get to her, not even if that damned robot had a good reason for it.

"My family always told me that my grandmother wasn't a Matron, but I believe she was. I trust my grandmother more than anyone in the world, so I know she has a good reason why she would hide it. The question is why though."

Cammy sighed softly and turned so that she could whisper directly into Skye's ear. She leaned in close, doing her best to keep the conversation private, "I... I'll be fine. I mean, it's heavy news, yeah, but I'm kind of glad, too. I'll finally get the help with my powers that I need and I know something about why my family comes from. Hopefully, I can learn a bit more. And... well, he seems right- at least in some way. Everything he's said so far has made sense."

Skye purses her lips and whispers back, "Sweetie, I'm not passing judgement because I don't know this man at all. But...be careful. I'm sure every evil man in history has made sense to himself and his followers. Your Abuelo is here because he did awful things to people, regardless of the justification."

For as long as I can remember, she's always had an air of sophistication about her that would actually intimidate most people. But she's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet if you stay on her good side."

He pauses and smiles sadly. "Just looking at Max reminds me of her..." He trails off and lets out a shaky sigh. "Her mum did her a real disservice."

He sighs. If it's not one thing, it's another.

"I had been able to summon Zetty, but I hadn't shown anyone else." That had happened a few days later in an argument with Renee.

"Huh. Now that I think about it, where would those powers go? You manifested Zetty before you were declared to be Matron, so I don't think he transferred them to you at that time. Eh, maybe he just uses it as energy to keep running."
