School House Rumbles 3: Act 3. Warriors and Liberators.

Telepotation had failed to free him. Not good.

He began to build up an electric charge in an attempt to blast it off, but didn't get the chance as the liquid metal suddenly boiled away. Casimir coughs and spits out the metal that had seeped into his mouth and gives Eisen a nod of thanks, before turning around to spy Takeshi being pinned to the floor by the robots. Teleporting behind one of the ones bearing in on him with blades, he rams his sword through its torso and looses a burst of energy, before firing another at the second bladed robot.

[Eternal Torment]

The robot pushes him back until, as it steps forward, it stumbles over soem debris Cammy had made earlier. It is now off balance.

With the speed boost from Mack bolstering him, Sloane stepped forward and sliced through its torso multiple times with his knife while it was still staggering.

Smirking haughtily at having dispatched now two robots, she now decides to use her gravitational powers to lift five more robots into the air and tries to crush them at the same time.

The two Ramilias hang close by to snipe any that manage to get away uncrushed.

The sound temporarily distracts Sloane, who was surprised to see two Ramilias hanging around. New power, huh?

He chuckled briefly before reappearing behind the robot he was fighting and finishing it off with a stab through the middle.

[Rhyvurg]

He destroys several more, until ten fall from the third level and land on him. Two pin his wings down, and other his tail, all with in-human strength. Two more grasp his forearms and two more his hind legs, trapping him. Another grasps his neck and bears him down, leaving tow more to apparoch, from angles his fire cannot reach. Each has formed dangerosu looking blades from their arms and move to skewer Takeshi.

The pile collapses as the Dragon vanishes, and Takeshi, now much smaller, explodes through one robot to grab another, crushing it's head against the wall before bisecting it's torso with his sword and spinning to cover his would-be attackers in a gout of fire.

[Cleric of Hell's Brigade]

Elewa coughed a little, expelling a few residual bits of liquid metal from his throat and lungs, before waving cheerily to Max.

"Cheers Sandwich," he boomed and continued walking up the stairs to the next floor.

Once up there he saw the wreckage and destruction wrought by Iriesia's exploding ice attack. He continued to walk, crushing bits of circuitry beneath his boots, until he was closer to Iriesia herself.

As he recalled, chick was mad, bad and dangerous to know. Liked to use her powers a lot, kind of highly strung, kind of offish. Generally a bit odd. Still, nothin' really wrong with that since Elewa himself was certainly no bastion of normality these days. At the very least, it looked like she had a plan of what to do here. Might as well get some kind of concerted effort going on here. Raise efficiency and all that.

"Yo," he said conversationally, "We openin' these doors or what? I dunno who's in where so... what now?"

Elewa was surprised as ice suddenly gripped everything on the floor, including him.

Huh.

The ice shattered and cascaded off his body as he stepped clear of the frozen water and approached the edge of the walkway. He looked down to the fighting, cupped his hands and yelled.

"Hey guys," he roared, "Do I open doors or what?"

Father Jacob is beside him suddenly, without warning. He just seemed to apear. He looks at Elewa and nods.

"If you can make sure none of them get close, I can check the doors and see which ones need opening. Rivia is already working on the fifth floor, so between the three of us, we can make this go faster."

Terror ripped through Cammy as she felt the machine's liquid grip begin to encase her.

She tried to scream- tried to signal for help in some way, but the roaring battle muffled any sound she could make.

Panic gripped her like a vice and instinct kicked in. She thrashed wildly, sending explosions of force away from her different parts of her body with every twist and jerk as she tried to dislodge her attacker. She wasn't thinking about the plan, or about collateral damage, or about the structural integrity of the prison- she was trying to not die.

She's almost out of air when..........

As the creature latches onto her, Skye instinctively turns to metal and then spasms as the electricity courses through her. She quickly uses Cammy's gift to burn the robot to ash.

Speaking of Cammy, Skye turns to see one robot envelop her. Again she reaches out to try to grasp the metal nature of the robot and pull it away from Cammy.

....Syke shows up. After having burned it off, she manages to, using her powers, pull the one suffocating Cammy off of her. Not before Cammy did seriosu damaget o the surrounding area around her, inclduing cartering a wall, the floor, destroying part of the upper balconey, and nearly clipping Marko where he stood guarding Mack. The man in the cybernetic armor frowns, mentally noting his need to talk to Cammy, or Skye, later about her control.

Even though all but three of the those caught in the explosion were no more, it wasn't something to celebrate; there were still likely hundreds more guards to deal with.



[ooc]Ten of them, on one guy? Trying to take him out quick, aren't you?[/ooc]

Almost as if to prove her point, ten more guards- from the floor above- descended quickly, obviously headed for the first- and for...



One second, the second floor was normal- well, as normal as a room with bits of metal and circuits strewn about it can be. The next, it was as if winter itself had graced the room with its ephemeral presence; the three remaining robots- along with open parts of both the floor and ceiling- were completely encased and covered with ice (65 vs attempts to break it), making the stairs the only means of travel between the first and third floors.

As she headed down to the first floor, thirteen marked shards floating around her now visible form, the three who accepted the offer earlier (Max, Cas, & Ramilia) would feel a sudden chill through the link.

OT Notes:

• The amount of water used to freeze block the floor and ceiling of level 2 was alluded to being gathered during the trip here. All of the normal water she 'brought' with her has been used for this.
• Everything's she used so far (except for the marks) is previously prepared stuff, so the only energy she's used while in the Gulag has been for the demonstration, the stealth, the failed scans, and the summoning- none of which are that energy draining. Not that it matters, as there are several energy reserves if they're required.

She manages to encase the second floor remaining guards, stopping them cold (ha!).

Stopping at the seventh cell, Rivia examined it closely. The door was sealed in such a way you'd probably need the right digital key just to bypass the security. Through the observation window she saw a familiar face, and her heart sank, her blood boiled, at the inhumane way these prisoners were being kept.

Opening up her senses, she ran her hands over the doorway, trying read it, to sense the best way to open it.

OT: I mentioned that there are no windows, but she can sense Hilda being in there.


IC: It's a simple numeric data-pad, with a five key entry passcode. That's all that seperates her and opening the cell.

Robert's single red eye gleamed.

Let The Stars Fall Down - Multiple Points.

Dozens of gravity wells manifest above the liquid metal robots, dragging even their liquid forms towards them.

His scarves the split themselves into multiple fine barely visible tendrils and snake towards the liquid forms of the robots as well as some of the robots the others were fighting.

Weight of the World - Heavy.

At once their weight increased, hopefully rendering most of them immobile.

He manages to get ten this way, keeping them immobile. Rose steps up, and as Robert keeps them there, she uses Zetty and rips the robots apart.

Smiling, she waves back at him. "You are welcome," she yells back.

They manage to destroy seven more at this rate.

It falls down, dead. Then, Eisen appears next to him, her halo laser lancing out and healing his wounds. She smiles.

"Be careful now, ja?"

With one last effort, Rose finishes the last robot on the first level, and Ireia has destroyed all on the second level. On the fifth level, Robert and Rivia have dealt with most of them all.

However, there are still robots on the third, fourth, and sixth through tenth levels.

It is the dozens of robots from the third and fourth that fall down to the ground level to now engage the cadets now.

Father Jacob is beside him suddenly, without warning. He just seemed to apear. He looks at Elewa and nods.

Lead a charge of criminals and junk to overthrow the regime? Could work, might not, who knew. Inwardly, he shrugged. He just wanted to get home and start bringing down that Dome and getting Eden back on track.

He shrugged at Jacob.

"Not exactly a combat type..." he said, "More jus'... a guy who can go where he wants. But... I guess I can grab the solid ones. And the liquid ones as well now that I tink 'bout it. I'll try,"

He turned and looked toward the frozen stairs, assuming that attackers would come from that direction.

Jacob nods, pauses, and then thinks a moment before pushingt he five-key passcode. The door slides open, and inside there is a man laying on a metallic bed with various metallic instruments clamped about him, draining his power while also restraining it. He stirs slightly as Jacob removes the objects and pulls him out, his arms around his shoulder.

As he pulls him out, Elewa (and the others) recognizes him. Gunner Navila, the Paragon captain from Eden they'ld met.

Skye begins using the gifts granted to her from Mack earnestly. While in metal form, she superheats her arms using Takeshi and Cammy's powers, and in a blur of speed too fast for all but the also-amped Sloane to track, she begins to punch the robots, leaving only molten puddles of liquidy goo where her fists strike. Before each blow strikes, she uses Sloane's Sever The Dead ability to drop the target's Durability by 20.

[Sub-Zero MKA]

They manage to destroy seven more at this rate.

With one last effort, Rose finishes the last robot on the first level, and Ireia has destroyed all on the second level. On the fifth level, Robert and Rivia have dealt with most of them all.

However, there are still robots on the third, fourth, and sixth through tenth levels.

It is the dozens of robots from the third and fourth that fall down to the ground level to now engage the cadets now.

Frowning, and taking no time to celebrate her taking out seven (yes, she is keeping score), she quickly turns her attention to the dozen upon dozens charging towards them.

She decides to do what she did last time, and uses her gravitational powers to lift up ten of them and try to crush them like she did the other five.

After having dispatched two, Casimir frowns as even more robots drop down. He creates an electromagnetic barrier around himself to help prevent getting wrapped up by another liquid metal robot.

He swings his blade at a group of five, releasing another crescent of energy and follows after it, slashing at them as he gets close.

Cammy struggled to her knees, hacking and wheezing.

Still gasping for breath she turned and braced herself on the wall, struggling to her feet, tears rolling down her cheeks.

She turned and fire another shockwave at the advancing machines, still unsteady on her feet.

Did the robots from the third and fourth floors somehow phase through two ice barriers she made?

Or were they simply strong enough to break through?

Assuming they broke through the two barriers...[/ooc]

As more machines- twice as many as she had dealt with on the second floor- broke through the ice that was intended to stop them, she- and the marked shards around her- faded from view once again.

A second or so later, the shards reappeared- each where they would be the most effective against the guards without the risk of catching friends in the crossfire- and detonated, hopefully taking out their intended targets (per shard, 65 for the ice & 65 for the exploding mark).

Cammy struggled to her knees, hacking and wheezing.

"What happened to you?" Iriesia asked, as she reappeared next to her. As she spoke, even more ice shards materialized and were sent towards promising targets.

Elewa whistled slightly as he grabbed a robot and gripped it in his immoveable hands, using his ability to shift things much heavier than himself, he gently shoved it through the handrail of the walkway and dropped it into the turmoil below. He wasn't really paying that much attention to the robots, he was more thinking on Jacob.

How had Jacob known the code?

How had Jacob known how to get them in?

Seriously, a monumentally powerful random old crazy guy shows up out of nowhere and is helping them achieve their objectives because...? Well, because nothing. He wanted to help with Eden, which was legit but it somehow seemed all too... easy? Or maybe contrived? Patterns didn't just emerge out of nothing to Elewa's mind. Organisations worked like machines, people worked like people which is to say they didn't work on any kind of natural logic. There was a natural chaos to the world and this kind of thing didn't normally just happen. Maybe the guy wanted to help, maybe he didn't. Whichever it was; Elewa tended to be suspicious of those in power due to years of mistrusting the police and the government in general.

So what was his angle?

Why help them out?

A powergrab? Help take down Volkov to try and assume his vacant position?

And what of his belief in a higher power whom he represented. Shady stuff. Shady-as-fuck stuff. What if his boss decided that he should rule and have a freakin' harem or some shit? Guy was strong and, if this shit went well, would likely be seen as a hero.

Shady man.

Still... keep an eye on him for now.

He waved vaguely at Gunner. Kind of made him snigger to think of a policeman in a prison cell. Fitting. Feds gettin' punished. Ha!

"Yo Captain Flash!" he said cheerily, "S'been a while, right? Kinda ironic dat a guy like you be pulled outta a cell by guys like us,"

"Heh. I certainly will, Eisen." Sloane smiled as he pulled out a second energy knife.

So many enemies, so little time. This was going to be a heavy chore.

While in metal form, she superheats her arms using Takeshi and Cammy's powers, and in a blur of speed too fast for all but the also-amped Sloane to track, she begins to punch the robots, leaving only molten puddles of liquidy goo where her fists strike. Right. He could use their abilities for now.

Okay, so what could they do again?

Cammy struggled to her knees, hacking and wheezing.

Still gasping for breath she turned and braced herself on the wall, struggling to her feet, tears rolling down her cheeks.

She turned and fire another shockwave at the advancing machines, still unsteady on her feet.

Spotting Cammy's distress, Sloane reduced the gravity on himself and slid up the wall, reappearing briefly to cleanly cut one robot in half by using Skye's Swiftsteel ability to strike.

Damn. He was a little put off, given how incredible the speed was. He tried to use it again, but it didn't work. Once a battle seemed to be its limit.

"Camryn, you okay there?" He stayed a little closer than he should have, hiding a wince as the hot air started to hurt more than simply sting.
