He does so, wrapping her wounds up tight enough to slow the bleeding, but not enough to cut off circulation. "Best I can do, given circumstances... Sorry."

"It's fine." She regains some of her bearings and wobbles up to her feet.

"Overestimated you, more like, and not in a bad way... When I was setting this up, I had to use the systems power scale. I assumed you were a six... The demon was a six as well."

She says nothing, but her expression shows that she isn't happy with his mistake. If the safety protocols were on, she would have dismissed it as an honest mistake. But since they were off... she could have died. This is real blood staining her makeshift bandages, not that synthetic stuff they use for the movies.

"She's referred to as the Queen of Autumn." He sighed. "She's one of the beings Father Jacob and I were talking about earlier. So is the one I fought, and the one Skye fought... I'm not sure if they were simulations or not. If they weren't... it wouldn't be the first time it happened today."

"If they are not simulations then what are they? How did they hack into our test run or whatever?"

Sloane looked at Rose and the dissolving sword dubiously.

"Is it really that safe? I mean, it's called the Sword of Sorrows. I'd assume it has some messed up properties aside from freely shifting through the states of matter."

"I...I don't know. He...Artemis told me that it had the powers to turn the tides of wars."

With each question answered, a thousand more sprang forth. Why was the very weapon he drew power from used to seal him and why did the sword take residence in her now?

"Is there anything else you can tell me, Lady Tabia?"

The question was more of a plea, for she hoped that the queen could relieve her of this confusion before she grew mad from these ancient mysteries.

"Real as we are, though I doubt they're actually dead in the traditional sense... I don't really know, Max, but they're not human, and they don't live in this dimension to begin with, so I figure they just kinda showed up. Not like it'd be hard, from the outside this is probably just an empty room with four people standing in it.."

She folds her arms and frowns contemplatively. "Then I suggest you find out then."
