"Look up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's Air Man bitch, and I'm bringin' the pain."

With a shrug, Skye becomes visible since that didn't seem to help. She boosts the piece of machinery so that it sails wide of her and crashes loudly into more metal.
"Okay, we do this the hard yet obvious way." She quips as she leaps down toward the golem and turns herself into metal.
She waits for it to approach, weapon undrawn.
There's a storm brewing overhead.
It senses the coming storm and tilts its head upwards momentarily, before returning its attention to Skye.
When it sees the hunk of machinery veer off course, it gives her what amounts to a smirk, and steps towards Skye, quickly gaining momentum. It makes to swing its blade at her, but just before it does, explodes into a cloud of mist that washes harmlessly over Skye.

"Indeed. The traveler was soon joined by another, his brother, a man swathed in bandages who reeked of death and sickness. The bandanged man brought with him a sword of blackness, which fed on sorrow, bleakness, and chaos. The first man took the blade, and with the havoc he had unleashed, it grew powerful. Apparently, he had meant only to inspire the fae and the espers to war so he could make the Sword of Sorrow stronger, at which point he'd go back to his own dimension all the stronger."
"The problem was my father uncovered this plan and sacrificed his life in order to stop it. He managed to bring others from these two men's home dimension, and they managed to drive them back through the rift between dimensions. It was a long, hard struggle, and it cost my father his life to seal the portal so they couldn't come back with their cursed sword. Afterwards, many of the fae and espers who had sided with the strangers fled into the shadows, and it was there that Khal'ud, some time later, found forces to help aid him in hsi own struggle against us. Without these two, Lunarius and Terraius being their names, and the destruction they wrought, perhaps Khal'ud wouldn't of had so much support when he started his own war."

"The Sword of Sorrow..."
Rosemary found herself trembling a bit as she looked to her hand. The sensation of being smothered by nausea and dread arose rose in her stomach as her palm grew slick with an unnatural darken sweat. Ever since her dream, she could feel it just beneath her skin, just waiting to come out.
"Just what is it?"

The blow knocks Skye, who was unbraced, through several rows of machinery and leaves her with a throbbing headache.
She snarls at herself. "Stupid, Skye! Be smart!" She gets back up and charges at the golem.
She leads with her left fist, but it's a feint. Channeling Swiftsteel, she draws STABBY and swings it at the thing's neck at ten times the speed of sound.
Simultaneously, the air begins to chill even more drastically. It is now colder than Skye has ever felt, even during the simulation on Mars.
STABBY Connects and causes pieces of rock and sparks to fly as it cuts partway into the Golem's neck before stopping dead.
Roaring again, in pain this time, it catches her in the ribs with a blow that dents her metal skin and launches her, and the sword, away from him.
The cold does nothing more than cause its stone body to frost over.
"Fool me once, you chunk of rock..." She mutters as she desolifies for a moment, and the golem's blow passes harmlessly through her.
"Let's see how you like this..." And for a moment, each node on her body glows brightly, and biochemical energy is formed and flows down her arm and blasts into Rocky noisily. The power of which is strong enough to destroy several city blocks.
It continues to get colder.
Sloane glanced over to his friend, only to catch a glimpse of the dark sweat on her hand. Combined with her look of incredible distress, he couldn't help but feel concerned.
"Rosemary, what's wrong?" He whispered.
Was it some kind of unnatural influence on her from the Sword?
As its fist passes through Skye, it looks down at it, momentarily confused. The burst of energy catches it unaware, and rips through its body noisily and causes him to take a step back.
When the dust settles, she'll see that, it's missing an arm, and has several chunks of itself missing.
Still unhindered by the missing pieces of itself, it roars in defiance, and its remaining arm changes back into a blade. The edge however has black, steam-like tendrils drifting off of it. It roars again and launches itself at her, the cold having no effect on it whatsoever.
