She chuckles when Sloane shudders.
"I will, given what just happened. But I know they had little forethought, because if they did, they would have seen just how stupid getting engaged without meeting her parents and getting their approval really is. And besides that, I just allowed them to date, like, a month ago. And on yet another note, their both way too young to be even thinking about marriage right now."
"All good points. But given that we have a low chance of survival, letting 'em have this will give 'em a good reason to make it through this alive." Sloane sighed.
"And what do you mean by 'what just happened'? I remember Max saying that she could see you and Cas standin' around like you two were spacin' out."

"Don't think they need to be engaged to have a reason to survive. We already have more than enough reasons to want to survive."
She pauses slightly. "Well, he...did something with our souls, like her merged them briefly so we could see each others memories and secrets and all that jazz. I...saw some...things. By 'what just happened', I meant that triangle between these three. I figured theast thing they needed was me yelling at them."
"And I assume she saw everything about you. Are we going to do something like that?"
"You never know, Ramilia. Cas would probably be running on empty without Max there for him." Sloane shrugged.
When she spoke of what he did, the butcher's expression faltered slightly.
"Heh." He forced a smile. "That sounds... pretty amazing."
I'm deficient. But that's okay. Life's about being thankful that you haven't lost more.
