Does Hellblazer even have a power? I read the first trade many years ago, and I only remember a grumpy alcoholic who smoked a lot of cigarettes. Was there magic in that book? Wait... is he not able to die? Is that his power? Why do I not remember this book?!

He's a magician who doesn't like to use magic because it usually causes problems. So mostly he's a con man.

I've now gone through exactly half of the TPBs that came out of the NuDC reboot. As expected, the soft reboot caused more confusion than it cleared up. At least for me. Of the books I read, I think I may have actually liked 5 or 6. And actively disliked twice that. The rest were pretty much "enh." the ones I liked were Animal Man and Swamp Thing (though I really hated the Alex Holland portrayal), one of the Green Lantern Corp books, can't remember which, Aquaman, and maybe Demon Knights.

I don't think I'll say which ones I truly hated, but from what I hear, it was close to a consensus throughout fandom for a few of them.

I have a job... It's just kind of dead-end and underpaid. This one would be more challenging and pay much better in the long run.

I've read Swamp Thing, Animal Man and Batman. That's all I've come across I could read for free. I agree that Swamp Thing and Animal Man were both pretty decent. Batman was not. I guess it wasn't actively bad, but I felt like I'd read the exact same story at least a half dozen times before.

The ponies of Equestria decided the time had come for them to elect their ruler. Every pony would have a say in whether Celestia would stay the Princess, or if another pony would take her place in the palace.

But to have all the ponies go to Canterlot at one time to vote would leave Equestria open to attack by Nightmare Moon. And so they devised another plan.

Instead of everyone going to Canterlot, each region of Equestria would select someone to go and speak on their behalf. Everyone in Ponyville would gather and share who they thought should be the new princess, and then they chose one pony to go to Canterlot and say who Ponyville supported. The same thing was done by the ponies in Cloudsdale, and Appleloosa, and Manehattan, and all the places where ponies lived.

Then when all the pony representatives got together, they each shared who the ponies in their hometown wanted to be the new princess. And whoever got the most yays* got to rule Equestria for the next four years.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse are playing a gig at a winery (of all places) about 20 minutes from my place next March. I'm guessing at least half the people who show up for this will be expecting 'Heart Of Gold' Neil, not 'Cinnamon Girl' Neil. It'd be worth going just to see the crowd reaction, I reckon.

I saw him with Crazy Horse in the mid-90s. My boss at the time exactly fit the scenario you described here. He and his wife left halfway through.

I feel utter ANGER....over the decision to cancel Hellblazer. I mean its been your most steady title for 20+ years. Its the grandfather of the Vertigo line. Cancelling it for a new 52 Constantine is pretty dumb.
