Hmm. We'll see, I suppose. I'll await more reviews.

it seems to hint that Krypton might not actually have been destroyed. "It's not always a dying world gets a second chance" "It's fate now rests on it's Last Son"(last one paraphrased) Possibly hinting at Jor-El and/or Lara turning alive at some point in future? ( could provide some rich material for future plots, actually. 1) the obvious question of where they have been 2) Their opinions of Clark's work as Superman 3) Would Clark accept them? ( as parental figures, anyway. I'm specifically thinking of the possible conflict regarding the now-dead Kents.) 4) possible help they could give Superman. Jor-El is an inventor; He could probably rig up something to protect against Kryptonite if necessary. Lara apparently has military training, seemingly very high, too. ( her fighting off the assasins is something I would expect of a Bat ( assuming they got into the situation in the first place) so she could be a valuable ally for Superman. With Supergirl doing her own thing, Superman could do with trained backup.)
I just got it today so I'm late for the party but it was really good though some of the dialogues were odd but Rocafort art was gorgeous and I think Lobdell won't be worse than what we've got before.
I read an other review, on a French web site : http://www.comicsblog.fr/14147-Superman_0_la_review
And it's very bad : one star. They didn't like the story line, and they hate Sunny Gho's colors (and me too).
But I think one star is pretty severe, because of Rocafort art. And 3 a little bit generous or optimist, because of a commonplace story (sorry, M. Lobdell). From my point of view, the good notation could be 2 stars.
I now question if the guy of the review (being one of the few around being able to read it.....why are you posting a french review on an english speaking website?) actually read that thing. But, like too many bad reviews, he doesn't feel the need of actually explaining what he doesn't like about and throw generic criticism (the classic "same old".....yeah, I'm sure there was quite a few things that weren't there last time I checked a "Krypton is doomed" story) and supposed "facts" (like everything about Krypton is always boring....). He even makes the stupid mistake of saying that Krypton explodes in the end when, actually, the story ends months before Krypton explodes.
Because it's possible to translate it with Google, no ? But I'am agree, few people will read it, that's sure !
Yes, I'am agree with that. I didn't say it's a good review. I find it exaggerated, excessive - and simplistic by some aspects. The guy is joking to please his readers, and choose to be ironical from the beginning to the end. I don't think it's a good way of writing for a reviewer.
I didn't notice that, but I'm afraid your right ! It's very... disturbing.I think I'll underline it on the site...
-It's been a while since last I tried, but don't Google translations suck hard?
- Yeah, I get what he is trying to do, but he sounded to me more like obnoxious than funny. It could also be because I liked the book, but I like the Nostalgia Critic and he destroys movies I like from time to time.
-Feel free to do that.![]()

On the "Superman Homepage" web site, 4/5 for the story and the art. A little bit excessive from my point of view, but it gives a better average ;)
