Great issue, I agree. The art was fantastic, great use of the artist's talents and strengths. It was good use of the key characters, tying to the on-going comics, but with great twists giving focus to Metal Hawk and Omega Supreme. Best kept secret on the shelf, IMO.
Disagree with the comment about the value of the annual. The quality and the construction of the book are well worth laying down an extra couple of bucks. IDW's Transformers annuals have essentially been slim trade paperbacks. You could set these things on a bookshelf and they'd stay in good shape. I'm happy to pay extra for the ad-free environment and higher quality paper that IDW uses in their books.
