    Default Happy!, #1

"Happy!" #1 by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson reads like weakened Mark Millar or Garth Ennis until the arrival of titular character Happy the Horse, upon which the comic reveals its true colors of perky insanity and subtle satire.

Love Morrison, but just gonna wait for the collected edition.

Im reading it in singles, but i agree it will read better collected where the 'satire' is concerned. What kind of collection should i expect? Deluxe hardcover?

The reviewer didn't catch satire until the pony showed up?

Only picked this up on a whim, hadn't heard a thing about it till I saw it on the shelf. I loved it. Already looking forward to #2.

That was a ridiculous review. As if the author read the comic, wrote a review, sent it to his editor, THEN had it pointed out by his editor how satiric the comic is, and begrudgingly changed a few words to match.

Loved it. I remember reading this thinking *Spoilers* "Who's that guy in the bug costume? Who is he Morrison?! What's with the hammer!?!" and then BLAM! he's dead and I felt like Morrison just trolled me. Like I just payed him to troll me. :) Can't wait for more!

It did indeed read like a Millar or Ennis book but, I still liked it...
